Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Early Access Release Date

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2's release is just around the corner. While many are making sure their PC meets the requirements for Modern Warfare 2, others are no doubt getting ready to jump into Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile when it launches next year. But, for those looking to get in on the action early, Modern Warfare 2 does offer a way to jump into the campaign up to a week before the game's official release.

If you haven't already, make sure you check out Newsweek's guide on how to get early access to Modern Warfare 2. The latest Call of Duty game is a continuation of the reboot of Infinity Ward's hit Modern Warfare series. It sees the return of iconic characters like Captain Price, which is why many are looking forward to jumping into the campaign.

You'll be able to start playing the campaign up to a week early. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will release worldwide on October 28, 2022. However, players who preorder the game will be able to start playing the campaign as early as October 20, 2022, at 10 a.m. PT (1 p.m. ET).

That means you'll have roughly eight days to jump in and give the campaign a run before you have to start worrying about farming killstreaks and scorestreaks in the multiplayer.

But getting access to the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign early requires that gamers pick up a copy of the game's digital pre-order. If you pre-order a physical copy of the game, then you won't get early access. Fans of the series should keep this in mind when trying to decide which bundle of the game to pick up.

There is, obviously, a lot for fans of the iconic shooter series to look forward to when Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 releases later this month. Not only will they be able to interact with the iconic characters from the original games, but they'll also get to explore new game modes, maps, and other things when the title releases.

It will also mark the next update for Activision's battle royale, Call of Duty: Warzone, which will feature weapons, maps, and other components from the Modern Warfare 2 universe when the update releases. Activision hasn't released full details of what to expect from the next big update for Warzone, but players should be ready to jump in shortly after the game's release for a new experience.
