Museum Maassluis brings together modern visual arts and the history of Maassluis, including (ship) models, crafts, and a collection of Dutch figurative art.

Museum Maassluis is more than just a local museum. The museum displays models of buildings and fishing vessels, as well as items related to artisanship and everyday life.

Figurative art

The varied collection of Museum Jan Cunen includes paintings, drawings and textiles. The core of the collection consists of the works of the figurative artists Jan van Heel, Jeanne Bieruma Oosting, Otto B. de Kat and Sierk Schröder. The temporary exhibitions alternate their focus on history and art. Local artists also exhibited.
