A lovely little airy short-lived hardy perennial plant with profuse, delicate, umbellifer heads of pink and creamy-white flowers ageing to purple.

Attractive feathery, glaucous, grey-green finely divided basal foliage.

Alpine Moon Carrot is as well adapted to dry soil and blazing summer heat as it is to serious winter cold, but needs good drainage.

The plant is monocarpic; it produces flowers only once, sets seeds, and then dies.

Flowers Jul-Oct (summer through autumn).

Prefers a sunny spot with well drained soil. Seeds should be sown fresh.

Good in the border, wild garden, prairie planting and for cutting.
