On lined paper, signed and dated in pencil 'JH Moesman 1929' (lower right); framed under passe-partout behind glass in the original frame. Small foxing spots throughout, paper slightly discoloured, horizontal folding crease, else apparently in good condition.
Provenance: Private collection; acquired directly from the artist's widow, 2006. Notes: Joop Moesman was one of the most important Dutch surrealistic painters. Interest in his work persists: a large exhibition of his work 'The Tears of Eros: Moesman, Surrealism and the Sexes' was held at the Centraal Museum, Utrecht, in 2020.
