If you have the 12th of Never in the “Jimmy Garoppolo-Porn Actress Second Date” pool, you appear to be a winner.
You, of course, recall back in July when the 49ers quarterback, still thrumming from signing a $137.5 million contract with the 49ers, hooked up with adult film actress Kiara Mia for a swanky dinner in a Beverly Hills restaurant. It was tastefully documented by TMZ.
Not long after the date, Mia ran into a couple TMZ operatives. (I mean, what were the odds?) and raved about what a gentleman Jimmy G. was. “To be continued, dot, dot, dot,” she said precociously.
Or not. A few days later Garoppolo arrived at the 49ers training camp and was asked about the encounter.
“Life is different now,” he said. “My life, off the field — I’ve never really been big on being very public with things even on social media. I’m not on there a ton. But my life’s looked at differently. I’m under a microscope. It’s like (49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan) said, it is a good learning experience. Just have to take it in stride. It is what it is.”
Not quite “Knock three times on the ceiling if you want me,” is it?
There seem to be no hard feelings. When Garoppolo struggled in the 49ers’ first game, Mia came to his defense.
You may want to hide the 5-year-olds before firing this one up.
“OK, first of all, Jimmy G. is a (compound expletive) star,” Mia said (in part). “A star is a star and you can never hold back a star. He’s going to come back stronger, bigger than he’s ever been.”
Of course, two weeks later Garoppolo tore the ACL in his left knee and had season-ending surgery. The 49ers are hopeful he’ll be ready for drills come training camp next summer.
Mia?
She recently told the New York Post how life has changed for her since her date with Garoppolo.
“I was recently in San Francisco,” she said, “and everywhere I went, everyone was obviously a 49ers fan and everyone was like, ‘Oh my God, you’re Kiara.’ It’s been fun. Now I guess instead of just porn fans, I have football fans.”
She willingly admits she was slow warming to football.
“One time I went to a football game in high school and I sat there, and I was like, ‘Hey, what inning are we in?’ Ever since then, I was made fun of, even to this day.”
OK then. Moving on — Mia let slip that if Garoppolo were to attempt another pass in her direction, he might find himself with competition.
“I’m in love with Eminem,” she told the Post. “Eminem is the only person I would be a groupie for.”
