The following story contains spoilers for the first batch of Love is Blind Season 5 episodes.

Love Is Blind Season 5 just dropped on Netflix, and just like previous seasons, there were instant connections, heartbreaking love triangles, and even more plot twists than before.

To briefly recap, the show takes a bunch of singles and puts them on a series of dates where they can hear each other, but not see each other. Over time, they make connections, and it’s also after a couple gets engaged that they’re allowed to meet and see each other for the first time.

Stacy and Izzy both stated that they were on the show to find their life partner, and they quickly bonded over their similar senses of humor. However, Izzy had two other connections, and while he broke things off with Lydia relatively early, his connection with Johnie proved to be extremely strong as well, and as he was conflicted about whether she or Stacy would be the right match for him.

Curious about who he ended up choosing? Continue reading to find out what happened to Stacy and Izzy.

After a tense conversation, Izzy dumped Johnie to continue to pursue Stacy. He did express some hesitation about Stacy’s lack of vulnerability, but after a deep conversation in which she opened up more than ever before, he felt confident enough to propose to her.

In the most recent batch of episodes, Stacy and Izzy exit the pods and get to know one another's families and and see where each other lives. It turns out Stacy lives in a house she's renovating and hopes to make space for Izzy there. Izzy, on the other hand, lives a bachelor lifestyle, foregoing a nightstand or any dinnerware beyond paper plates. And in meeting Stacy's father, Izzy realizes his future partner needs someone who can keep up with her expensive lifestyle. But still, he gets her father's blessing.

The couple does enter some drama, however, when Izzy's former pod love interest, Johnie meets with the pair face-to-face along with her new partner Chris. Izzy admits he finds Johnie and her past sketchy, and thinks it's concerning that she's with Chris. After that frustrating conversation, Izzy returns to Stacy and admits he's pleased he's with her instead of Johnie.

And now that we have the tenth and final episode of the season, we can see the couple really didn't say "I do" at the altar. At the ceremony, Stacy admitted the couple needed time and weren't ready to get married, and Izzy said he understood.

Later, however, Izzy made it clear he needed space from the relationship. He didn't think Stacy would ever be ready to be married, and believed their different economic statuses (and her previous dating experience) was a factor. "It makes me wonder, 'Why are you 33 and single and not married?' I'm 29 years old and I can give you everything that a f---ing rich, 45-year-old man that you always go for and always fail with can't give you," he said in a separate interview.

In the present day, the reunion revealed things were tense for a while between the two. They spoke a week after the ceremony went down, and Stacy told Izzy she wanted to start their relationship over. This didn't sit well with Izzy, who apparently stopped talking to Stacy for about a year.

The two have since reconnected and begun a friendship, however. It looks like that's how their love story ends.
