Summer friendlies fast approaching: Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United all booked for US tour

Several of the Premier League's top brands will be visiting the States in the coming months

The European seasons are drawing to a close, with title races up in the air in England, France, and Germany.

Once the champions have been declared, attention turns to the summer months. Transfer business might take center stage, but American fans of Europe's top teams will be excited to see their favorite players up close.

MLS All-Stars battle a Premier League giant

This year's Major League Soccer All-Star Game in Washington, D.C. will pit the best players from North America's top league against Arsenal, who have surprisingly challenged for the Premier League title this season.

That same day, July 19, will see Chelsea square off against Wrexham AFC, the darlings of England's lower leagues. Wrexham are back in action on July 22, when they play LA Galaxy II in California.

Manchester United, another of Wrexham's preseason opponents, play Borussia Dortmund in Las Vegas on July 30.

Other marquee matchups

Champions League-chasing Newcastle play Aston Villa in Philadelphia on July 23 beofre meeting Chelsea in Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium on the 26th.

On Aug. 2, Chelsea and Dortmund will renew acquaintances in Chicago's Soldier Field following a tightly-contested Champions League round of 16 tie this season.

And for LaLiga fans, the Spanish top flight is heading stateside in August. Atlético Madrid and Sevilla will face off at San Francisco's Oracle Park on Aug. 5. Later that day, Real Sociedadand Real Betis will play on the same field.
