Along Gran Via, the hotel is surrounded by theatres, cinemas, restaurants and boutiques. Both the metro and bus are close and convenient. The street the hotel is on is fairly quiet. Once inside, you'll have to go up a few stairs to reception, which is left at the top. To the right is the café-bar.

The Hotel Regente Madrid is only a 2 minute stroll to the main pedestrianised shopping streets in the centre of Madrid. At the end of the hotel's street you'll find a well stocked shoe shop on your right and the popular, and bank-breaking 'Miss Sixty' clothes shop on your left.
Opposite the hotel is the famous Menkes shop that specialises in flamenco clothing. In-keeping with the theme you'll find a flamenco tablao right next door to the hotel, where you can see shows. Another 50 metres down the road and there's souvenir shop, and at the end once you hit the pedestrian zone you'll be spoilt for choice in terms of shops, cafes and restaurants.
If you're looking for a cash point, you'll find them either on Gran Via, to the left out of the hotel, or on the Arenal road leading off Puerta del Sol square (5 minutes walk, left out of the hotel).

Metro: You can take various metro routes directly from the airport to arrive at Callao metro near the Hotel Regente Madrid . Line number 8 leaves from inside the airport between terminals 1 and 2. See the quickest route below with the stations where you need to change listed:
Metro: Mar de Cristal (Pink Line, L8) Then change and head for Diego de Leon (Brown Line, L4) Then change and head for Callao (Green Line, L5).
Via Bus: You can take a red EMT public bus from the airport to Avenida America. The number bus that takes this route is the 115. From there it's quicker to change to the metro.
