We stayed at Feldwebel for a week with our children in two separate rooms and we are very satisfied. The rooms are spacious, the staff very nice and very good food. I am gluten intolerant and there was no problem with getting gluten free diet. The wish from our side is to have a small fridge in the rooms to be able to have snacks/drinks - extra important when staying for a longer period and having children with you. Also, we had a bad smell in our room during our entire stay (only in 1 of our 2 rooms) which we mentioned for the staff. We love Söll and can absolutely recommend Feldwebel. Ewa and Magnus

“Great location, terrible management.”

We stayed here with Crystal ski. The location is excellent, right in the centre of the village with bus stops to the slopes right outside the hotel. The food was generally good but we were collectively sat in the back of the restaurant in a separate room from the main restaurant. There was a feeling that we were an inconvenience to the staff who did not engage in any conversation. In fact the management were indifferent to our presence. The main reception was rarely staffed. The bar was soulless so we chose to find bars where our custom was welcome. Before travelling I had read previous reviews of the rudeness of the staff and thought it couldn’t be true. Whilst there was no rude behaviour towards us there was absolutely no warmth from any of the staff other than one lady who was dressed in traditional costume. She at least acknowledged our presence. The wi-fi was terrible in our second floor room and I was unable to even send an email. There were no English channels on the TV that worked. If you have the choice of another hotel in the area, take it. At checkout there was no asking about our stay, if we enjoyed it or otherwise. The management needs to change their attitude to their guests. I’m not sure if it is just Brits they don’t like but we certainly would not recommend this to anyone we know.

We stayed here through Crystal. The hotel is in a good location. The room sizes are good but the decor and bathrooms are pretty dated. Breakfast is adequate but nothing special. The dinners in the hotel (HB option) were generally good. Drink prices were reasonable but you were charged for a jug of water (badged as spring water...). Staff were friendly but the reception was never open, so it was difficult to find anyone if you needed anything or had any questions. All in all, not bad, but could be much better with some investment in the rooms and better breakfasts.
