My first sighting of a female Orange Tip in our garden this year, tried to get a photo of a male a few weeks ago but he did not settle, got a photo yesterday, the better weather encouraged a Comma, Peacock, Green Veined White and a Holly Blue to come out in our rural Norfolk garden.

First Brimstone Butterfly spotted this year, today in our rural Norfolk garden feeding from Symphytum orientale (Comfrey), a Peacock as well both finding it difficult with the windy weather.

2 of 5 Greenfinches That Visit Us Daily, They are slightly larger and bully Goldfinches to perch on this furthest Sunflower Heart Chip Feeder, I think probably best photo I am going to get as they keep their distance but will keep trying with my 600 mm telephoto lens and better weather conditions - So Good To See Greenfinches Making a Comeback.

Many Birds Feeding At Our Magnolia's On This Very Wet Day Including 5 Greenfinches, The Most We Have Counted and Our Resident Female Great Spotted Woodpecker Enjoying Peanuts.

A Photo For My Friends In The Buzz Club, This Bee has been feeding from the same group of Crocus in our garden over the last 2 days, I carefully peeled down one of the petals to see its face deep in the flower, although the Bee was quite wet pollen can been seen sticking to its hairs.

Some of the many Ladybirds that were active in a west facing window yesterday 15/02/2024, all our south facing rooms have hibernating ladybirds every year, we usually watch a couple circling around the living room light most nights - I think they are all Harlequins in various colours and spots.

Today I photographed hundreds of 7 Spotted Ladybirds, a few Harlequins and I believe a Cream Spotted Ladybird hibernating in one of our Compost Bin Surrounds between woodwork and corrugated tin, Harlequins usually find there way into our house each year overwintering in our south facing window frames.

We grow a few different varieties of Galanthus (Snowdrops) in our garden, we recently purchased a couple of bulbs in the green named Trumps after seeing plants at Walsingham this and last year, some nice markings, hopefully they will multiply to produce more bulbs in future years.

Lacewings usually hibernate with Harlequin Ladybirds around our south facing window frames each year but this one has been roaming around our house over the last few days, always good to see Lacewings as they help control Aphids in our garden as do Ladybirds.
