Thrilled to have been a part of VivaTech 2023 in Paris, the most exciting tech conference of the year! From June 14th to June 18th, I had the incredible opportunity to attend this event, thanks to BNP Paribas. The conference was a melting pot of innovative ideas and cutting-edge technologies. Viva Technology was an incredible gathering of top-notch speakers and thought leaders like Emmanuel Macron, Elon Musk, Dan Schulman, Christel Heydemann, Roger Lynch, Bernard Arnault, Marguerite Bérard and M. Gürcan Karakas , who shared their insights on the latest trends and innovations. Elon Musk’s keynote address focused on the future of space exploration, sustainable transportation, and his vision for a renewable energy future. He talked also about "things that inspire us", like disruption coming from AI, meaning of life, freedom of speech, the universe & spacetech. President Emmanuel Macron emphasized the importance of technology and innovation in driving economic growth and fostering global collaboration. Dan Schulmans (President and CEO, PayPal) keynote address focused on the intersection of technology and finance, highlighting the transformative power of digital payments and the future of financial inclusion. BNP Paribas as founding partner presented as bank for a changing world some of its tech ventures in mobility, payments, etc. The exhibition area was a treasure trove of innovation, with startups and established companies showcasing their groundbreaking technologies. Like a navigator on an airplane, I work in the background to make sure the team and passengers stay on course and successfully get to their destination. I support our flight captain Marcel Becker in developing and executing strategy and beeing a key liaison between our leaders and employees. As a navigator, I ensure that all aspects of the journey are considered and any obstacles along the way are overcome. In his book, “Winning”, former General Electric (GE) CEO Jack Welch wrote: "Before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself. When you become a leader, success is all about growing others." After 5 months of hard work I am happy to share that I finally managed to pass the last exam and obtain the course certificate of the Leadership Management Program named "Inspiring Leadership: Leadership with Sense, which focuses on critical leadership skills needed in today's competitive environment. Leaders from different organizations and participants of the HEC Paris leadership certificate assimilated this program. I have learnt the "Savoir Relier" leadership, a novel approach of leadership taught by Dr. Valerie Gauthier from HEC Paris in a very interesting style. The art of connecting people, maintaining high-quality relationships, and linking up ideas or differences, wherever they may come from, creates meaning and takes the TEAM forward. It was exciting to use this approach in the practical sense through Duo (conversational exercises) and writing sessions with people from all around the world.
