It was great attending the CIO think tank event. Connecting with a brilliant group of individuals from diverse industries allows you to hear other perspectives.
A few takeaways:
💡Every session touched on AI, interestingly only 10% of attendees are using or testing AI models. Most companies are still in the early stages evaluating their approach
💡AI has allowed cybersecurity tools to leverage the technology to predict behaviors, analyze systems setups and compare against the organizations policies. However, bad actors are also leveraging the fast growth of AI used within software applications to use this as an attack vector.
💡Advances in technology—from big data to data mining—have contributed to a massive increase in energy consumption. Today, computing and IT are responsible for approximately 1.8% to 3.9% of global greenhouse gas emissions. AI could potentially increase this number greatly if green computing, which includes green coding, software, and infrastructure, are not taken into account.
💡CIOs wish list (the one ask to stakeholders) on digital transformation goes back to basics. “Can we stop chasing the shiny object and focus on solving the business problems?”
💡The human is still at the center of it all. Solutions must focus on bettering the customer experience.
Thank you, C-Vision International for organizing a fantastic networking opportunity!
