Viola Lawrence, 80, of Selbyville, DE, departed this life on Saturday, February 16, 2013, at her residence. Born in Selbyville, DE, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. Showell and Sarah Holland Showell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Lawrence, Sr. She was a member of Zoar United Methodist Church in Selbyville, DE where she served as a member of the choir and United Methodist Women. Prior to retiring, she was employed by the State of Delaware as a caregiver. Loving memories will be cherished by: one son, Frederick (Marieka) Lawrence, Jr. of Selbyville, DE; one daughter, Bonita Williams of Pickens, SC; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one nephew, Tyrone (Zena) Holland of Philadelphia, PA; several in-laws, cousins and friends. Mrs. Lawrence will lie in repose on Saturday, February 23, 2013, from 12 to 2 PM at Zoar United Methodist Church located on 11 Church Lane in Selbyville, DE. The funeral service will begin at 2 PM. Rev. Timothy Duffield will be the officiant. Interment will be in Golden Acres Cemetery in Bishopville, MD.
