An excellent game. If there is anyone who hasn't seen it, he/she should do it as fast as possible. Great audio-visuals and gameplay. However, it is a pity that in this version they changed the introduction music...

This was one of my favorite games for the CD32. I was never very good at it, but it was fun. The graphics were great, the sound was really good, and it was just a fun game. Coming back to it now, and playing it with an emulator, where I can use save states... I have grown to love this even more.

Always loved playing this on my CD32 and a really good conversion. Whilst not the best you will have fun with this. Also, as mentioned in another comment, supports more of the Joypad buttons (more CD32 games should have done this).

If only all CD32 conversions were made like this! The Bitmap Brothers really took advantage of the CD technology in very smart ways. The CD32 version is also the only one supporting second fire and shoulder buttons and that makes it the most playable version (9/10).

Thanks to the world of emulation, I finally get to play the CD32 version of one of my all time fav games
It still is a brilliant game, and I think the intro is really well done and not something lame they quickly whipped up. They put a good amount of effort into this CD version.
The only gripe I have is the same as the AGA version (and the same as CD32 speedball). Just like people have stated here, the original is darker and cooler in keeping with the game theme, but the colours they used here look more like candy.
Still an awesome game, just if you have played the original, you may be put off by the more colourful gfx (as silly as that sounds).

Simply awesome. As for gfx I prefer ECS version, but this one has better sound (character upgrade screen) and CD32 joypad is good controler for the game (you can easily turn around standing in place). One of the best amiga games for sure.

I got this with my CD32. Seems like I got a special deal where I could pick a couple of games to buy with the unit (which had 2 games in box already) at a discount. This was a GREAT choice. I played that hell out of that disc. I love the voice bits. "FOOD!!" That always made me happy.
I only ever had the CD32 version and didn't know about the AGA/ECS matters. That deserves some investigation...heck, any excuse to load this up again is a good thing.

Great game, played it with my brother a lot, thanx for the nostalgia Bitmap Brothers! Speedball 2 was also great fun!

In this game you can clearly see that 256 Colors (AGA) were way too much for the graphician of The Chaos Engine. The AGA and CD32 versions just look a bit more like candy, than the original ECS version, which was darker and cooler, imho. Those great ECS graphics need no AGA Update.

CD32 version imho differs only in intro and the manual, that is included on the CD.

Very nice game, but the AGA version seems to slow down a bit too much compared to the ECS version. So AGA looks better, but I play the ECS version.
