What Owners are Saying About the 2002 Daewoo Nubira

"Best Car since my 73 Volks"

"I purchased this car in early 2000. I received the entire 3 years of full service warranty. They fixed an emission sensor under warranty. There was a recall on the car but i never took mine in because i had no problem with the car at all. I've done the regular maintenance and upkeep. Replaced the oil gasket three years ago. ( found the parts on the internet and had them shipped to my door) It maueuvers well, respond immediately...and you got to love that little power button for extra speed. Presently at 91,500 miles and had to replace a cam shaft sensor because the check engine light stayed on constantly. Local mechanic got the part and is doing the work as I write this review. My car is roomy and I use it for business travel all over my state of Maryland. I use synthetic oil and change it at regular intervals. Lost one side of my cup holder and the thin metal chrome has gradually peeled away from my interior door catches. I chose this car because of her anti-lock brakes, the leather enterior, the spacious trunk, and of course the gas mileage expense for business. I've never been disappointed with it. Even now with gas prices over three dollars; it doesn't hurt too bad to fill it up. Originally, I considered purchasing the Volvo wagon made in 2000 but found they look very similar yet my Daewoo cost a lot less and had similar amenities. My plan is to keep the car until it becomes an antique vehicle refurburshing it as needed. I got some great Daewoo logo items from the company for reviewing the car when I first got it. Lots of folks advised me to dump the car when the company when bankrupt but I felt it was worth keeping. Anybody looking to dump a blue 2000 Nubira, I would love to have it for spare parts over time. I love my Daewoo ....Yes, I do!!!"

"My point, and I do have one..."

"I bought this car new in 2000. The timing belt broke right around the time Daewoo went bankrupt, which was bad. The dealer had no idea when a replacement would be available, so I bought a new car. After it was fixed ( which actually happened in about 2 weeks ) I gave the car to my Dad, securing for myself the status of the favorite daughter. Since that time, I have had several different vehicles - a Ford Explorer, an Buick Regal, and a Toyota Sienna - all of these vehicles are much fancier than the Daewoo. Last October, my Dad died suddenly, and a couple of months later, my mother gave the Daewoo back to me. I am happier driving around town in my Daewoo than I was in those other more expensive, and ostensibly more comfortable vehicles. All that being said, there ARE problems getting parts for it if it needs repair. Overall, though, I'm sticking with it. I would definitely recommend this car to people."

"2002 Daewoo Nubira CDX"

"This is the best car I have ever owned and the first car I have actually driven until it was paid for after financing the loan to purchase the car. It's comfortable, powerful and very spacious. I have not had any mechanical problems, but I do keep up with the scheduled maintenance."
