In September, there are many classic car shows in the Milwaukee-area suburbs.

Whether it is a fundraiser or just for fun, there are many classic car shows coming up in the Milwaukee area, featuring cars as varied as a 1967 Chevrolet Corvette or a Lamborghini Miura.

Many car shows are combined with beer gardens, other events or to raise funds for community programs. 

Check out these eight shows in the Milwaukee-area suburbs in September.

Delafield Lions Classic, Street Rod and Tuner Car Show

The Delafield Lion Classic, Street Rod and Tuner Car show is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 5 at Main and Genesee streets in downtown Delafield.

With music by Hot Rod Radio from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., this free event will benefit charities supported by the Delafield Lions Club that support the community.  A 50/50 raffle is planned, and there will be beer, seltzer, soda and food available all day.

Wayne's Classic Cruise Nights

Every Wednesday is Corvette Night and every Thursday is Classic Car Night at Wayne's Drive-in, 1331 Covered Bridge Road, Cedarburg, throughout September. The events run from 4 to 8 p.m.

Admission is free, and there is a DJ.

Brew City Cruise Night in Mequon

From 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays until Sept. 28, there is a car show at the River Club of Mequon, 12400 N. Ville du Parc Drive.

Fifth annual Greenfield Car Show

With Wisconsin Hotrod Radio hosts Captn Bob & Arlo, the fifth annual Greenfield Car Show is scheduled for noon to 4 p.m. Sept. 11 at Konkel Park, 5151 W. Layton Ave. The park opens at 11 a.m.

Pre-registration is encouraged for cars, until Sept. 7. The cost to register is $8 in advance, $10 the day of the show. The show is free for attendees.

First Congregational Church of Genesee UCC Car Show

A car show is planned for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 11 at First Congregational Church of Genesee UCC, W306 S5075 Church St., Mukwonago. 

The cost is $8 for each car to show; free for spectators. There will be a raffle at 1 p.m., and food, beverages, music and a bake sale will be available throughout the event.

Hot Rods on Hampton  

Hot Rods on Hampton will benefit the Optimist Club of Sussex-Lisbon-Lannon-Butler and is scheduled for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 12 on Hampton Avenue between 124th and 127th streets in Butler.

Funds raised will go for scholarships and youth groups in the Hamilton School District. 

The event will include music by Wisconsin Hotrod Radio hosts Captn Bob & Arlo from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will also be a 50/50 raffle, and food and drinks available for purchase.

Cars for a Cause  

Cars for a Cause, a classic car show, is scheduled for 4:30 to 6:40 p.m. Sept. 13 at Franklin New Perspective Senior Living, 7220 S. Ballpark Drive, Franklin. 

This free event is for the senior living residents and community to enjoy classic cars and to raise funds for the Walk to End Alzheimer's

There will be brats and hot dogs sold, and a live Elvis impersonator is scheduled.

Old Falls Village Car Show

Old Falls Village Car Show is slated for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 18 at Old Falls Village, N96 W15791 County Line Road, Menomonee Falls.  

The cost is $10 for exhibiters and free for spectators. There will also be food, soft drinks and a beer garden. The beer garden is scheduled to be open from noon to 8 p.m.

The gate and registration opens at 9 a.m.

Classic car show at Oktoberfest

As part of Oktoberfest, a classic car show is scheduled for noon to 3 p.m. Sept. 26 at Dheinsville Park,  N128 W18780 Holy Hill Road, Germantown.

There is no entry fee to show a car, and admission is free.  Each entry is good for one free brat and hot dog and one free domestic beer or soda.

The car show is part of Germantown's Oktoberfest. Oktoberfest is scheduled for noon to 11 p.m. Sept. 25 and noon to 7 p.m. Sept. 26. The event is free, with German entertainment, food, drinks and family activities.
