Ionian Sea Hotel & Aqua Park

After reading all the positive reviews prior to our stay we were excited about our stay there. However on arrival 1 room not ready and were asked for 5 of us to share 1 apartment. With very limited air con. After negotiations we managed to get another room but we both had to move rooms the following day. The system used in the restaurant was manic, having to queue for any type of drink including water is to say the least poor. The food is at best reasonable but after a few days you get to see there is a limited choice and starts to taste bland, also very little choice for the kids. The animation was again somewhat hit and miss and in the evening was definitely aimed towards the guests from other countries. There is only 1 bar which is the pool bar which is okay during the day but in the evening the queue gets to be a long one and once you get to be served you can only have 2 drinks (which are in small plastic cups) takes up alot of the evening. The pool area is decent and well maintained and the aqua park is the highlight of the resort but drinks etc are not in the all inclusive package but was worth paying for as the quality was superior to the restaurant. The rooms where adequate but the maid service again was hit and miss and varied on effort on a daily basis. The beach is lovely and the restaurant by it was lovely. The location is remote but we where only there for a week which suited us but would find any longer a hire car would be needed. Overall we would not reccomend this hotel to anyone with kids over 10 as ther is nothing for them to do especially in the evening, or for more than a week stay.

We arrived late to the hotel and the food that we received was awful warm ups from tea time and though the bar was open and it was an all inclusive the all inclusive ended at 11pm therefore we had to pay for drinks! The location although lovely was miles from anywhere and there was no way of getting about unless we took a taxi or ordered the bus from the hotel which only runs twice a day and only if there are six people wanting to go out! However, the hotel was lovely, clean and cleaners come in daily. The management and staff were really friendly and the food after this initial let down was lovely.

Wouldnt recommend to people with no young children as no proper evening entertainment.too far out to escape unless paying €12 each way.in a cab mainly east europian orientated as was most staff ..food was cold bed rock hard showers cold only ran warm when they wanted.pool bar staff Natalie two mikes and Vangellis excellent service polite helpful and always smiling...

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful the hotel was very well maintained, rooms facilities etc. Ideal for families and couples alike. Lots to do and see. Food very good choice and plenty of it. Pools very clean lots of sunbeds and not overcrowded. Clean beach nearby with excellent beach bar and restaurant food delicious service excellent. Definitely go back in the future..

The hotel overall was a lovely hotel, well maintained, and the food was excellent. One of the few places where you don't have to get up at stupid o'clock to get sun beds. It was clean and the staff were really helpful. Rooms.. Well looked after with regular maid clean Food.. Excellent Pools... There are 3 of which one for little kids. Plenty of sun beds, umbrellas. All pools are small approx 20m by 10m Water park... 2 min walk away that's free but you can't get drinks free there Activities... Table tennis, football pitch (Astro turf), tennis, volley ball Location... 15min taxi drive cost approx 20€. There is nothing to do around the hotel Beech.. 5 min walk with sun beds no activities. XI beech 10min away but 20€ Reps... All polish, Slovakia, Romanian . There entertainment was average especially on a night Bar.. Only one, plastic cups 90% time, tip keep one with you for the night time. Local spirits smelt like ouzo all the time, even if meant to be gin, vodka, whisky Hotel guest 70% Eastern European For me although I was all inclusive, it was too far out so difficult to escape.
