For us in these parts anyway. Friend S took us to this tree, he believes it to be the only one in the Park which he knows well.
.
BCCP started life in the 19th Century as a private estate and then was developed as a park at the start of the 20th century. It remains an amazingly varied and interesting place, designated with Historic Environment Scotland as a Garden and Designed Landscape: https://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/GDL00042
.
The tree was likely planted in the course of the development of the park and it appears some recent felling has been carried out to clear some space around this tree.
.
The distinctive leaf form matches with the Sorbus torminalis (or Torminalis Globerimma?)
