Scilla

Scilla

Observation - Scilla - UK and Ireland. Description: A blue-flowered scilloid with rather multiflorous infloresences; flowers pendant; perianth segments

A blue-flowered scilloid with rather multiflorous infloresences; flowers pendant; perianth segments blue, reflexed; filaments white, terete; anthers blue.

It doesn't seen to be any of the Scilla/Puschkinia/Chionodoxa species in Sell & Murrell. PlantNet Identify gives Scilla cilicica as its preferred identification. This does seem a reasonable match, but working through the archive at rareplants.co.uk there are a number of similar species, including Scilla greilhuberi, Scilla hohenackeri, Scilla mesopotamica and Scilla persica. I can exclude Scilla persica (much longer pedicels). Of the remainder Scilla greilhuberi is the one which has the same degree of tepal reflexion; the others are only moderately reflexed.

This is growing in a hedgerow which also has Muscari armeniacum, Cyclamen coum and Cyclamen hederifolium; I infer that someone has been planting bulbs and corms in it, but I'm surprised to find such an obscure plant in such a situation.
