Daimler will be itching to showcase its all new electric car model at the Paris Motor Show in late September this year. The German automaker has been releasing teasers on its next wave of electric cars that will come out of the garage in a few years or maybe months. The unveiled model could be a sport utility vehicle or a sedan. It also hinted at an all-electric car with 500km of range, which the NEDC (New European Driving Cycle) estimates would be a shorter range than an EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) estimate. Another possibility is that it will be the first model of new all-electric brand, which Daimler told the media about in June.

Daimler's central Mercedes-Benz brand had previously talked about making two sedans and two SUVs. The Automobilwoche tipsters claim that the focus will be on crossovers and SUVs, although there would also be compact cars and sedans. As far as the competition is concerned, Tesla makes all electric models while Audi is planning to produce a mix of all-electric and plug-in hybrid options. The Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 concept that inspired awe from all around will be designed with a shallow under-floor battery allowing a range of over 320 km according to EPA (and over 500 km according to the NEDC), Mercedes said.  Also Read: A9 Vision Mercedes Maybach 6 concept unveiled
