Haunter
Haunter is primarily focused on Speed but can also be trained for Sp. Attack. Try having a Timid nature along with either Mischievous or Alert to Sounds. This will increase the Speed stat or with Mischievous, will increase both Sp. Att and Speed. Going for an all out Sp. Attack approach to knock out your foes in one hit? No problem. Try breeding to get a nature of Modest and a characteristic of Mischievious. Modest increases the Sp. Att. stat while dropping the Att stat for which Haunter has no need for. This will greatly increase your chances of obtaining the perfect Ghastly/Haunter/Gengar in Sp. Attack.
Haunter is also a preferred choice – or its evolved form, Gengar – to capture Legendary Pokémon like Moltres or Rayquaza. Even better fit for catching Pokémon that run away like Entei or Latias. With the ghost's amazing Speed stat, Hypnosis, and the move Mean Look, it's perfect for catching those types of Pokémon on the go.
