I wouldn't have thought I'd find brownish flowers attractive, but I must say that photo is eye-catching. I've planted a handful of baptisia over the last two years, I really like the foliage and the shrubby effect - I think you'll be happy with them :0)

Love baptisia! Had no idea there were brown cultivars on offer, they look pretty neat--you should share a pic of them with your new home when you get the chance. Have you grown them before? In my experience they take a year or so to get established but they're about as easy a plant as you could ask for!

I find that quite stunning!! If I had room, I'd include that in my garden in a heartbeat!

In a previous garden, I grew Twilite Prairie Blues, which bloomed a dark purple-blue, almost brown, with yellow keels. I loved it but it got huge! My current garden just doesn't have enough sun to accommodate a plant that large.
