ALL SUMMER PEACH® is a novelty dwarf weigela, a follow-up to a very successful ALL SUMMER RED® variety which is coincidentally one of its parents. It was bred by Gijsbertus Verhoef from the Netherlands, and patented as PP29149 in 2018.

ALL SUMMER PEACH® dwarf weigela produces funnel shaped, slightly narrowed flowers which open from carmine pink buds into creamy white flowers flushed salmon to peach pink in various depth. They remain somewhat closed - without the typical wide-open trumpet throat. They appear from mid May and make a huge display in about mid June. Then comes a short break, and from early to mid July new flowers come out to keep popping up until early to mid autumn. This variety is not supposed to make seeds, still future will confirm that. Deciduous leaves are broadly elliptic, dark green when mature while young foliage has some red hues and margins.

It forms a compact shrub and is listed among dwarf weigelas. It needs no pruning but you can cut it in any manner you like: remove flowering branches right after flowering by about a third or half in midsummer. Remember that summer pruning will limit the number of flowers by the end of the season.

Weigelas thrive in semi-fertile, slightly moist soil, preferably in full sun. They can take heavy and compacted soil, too, but will need more time to become nice and bushy. Hardy to approx. -29°C (USDA zone 5) but not suitable for outdoor pots (risk of drying out in winter).
