If Mykonos is on your bucket list, you'll want to take note of this...
Tucked away in the hills of the Greek island, Kouros Hotel & Suites is a five-star hotel and spa - the epitome of luxury.
The island might have the reputation of being a party spot, but if a room with a view of the sea in quiet area near the Old Town is on your list of must-haves in Mykonos, then this is one for you.
The rooms & suites at Kouros are simple and stylish, with many options available ranging from a sea view room to a deluxe suite with a private pool. The entire hotel was renovated in 2018 by French designer Fabienne Spahn. I stayed in a suite with a private jacuzzi during my time there, where I spent every evening captivated by the sun setting over the Aegean sea.
All guests have access to the gym and outdoor pool, and if you fancy treating yourself to something special, there's an extensive treatment menu to choose from at the spa. I finished off my trip with a back massage on my final afternoon, leaving me feeling fully relaxed before I headed back to the UK.
Around the outdoor pool you’ll find the breakfast room and the Narcissus restaurant and bar. Both have excellent views of the sea and impressive menus for a boutique hotel. I recommend the Greek Salad, of course, and the blueberry cheesecake!
An incredible buffet breakfast as well as the delicious outdoor restaurant, stylish bar and dreamy pool, mean you never really need to leave Kouros. But, a short walk will take you to the Old Town where you can explore the winding streets and white-washed buildings with the other tourists. Take yourself to Little Venice and eat by the water for that true out of office feel.
For added luxury, the staff at Kouros organised an afternoon on a boat with SYachting during my stay and I spent a few hours out at sea, lapping up the sun’s rays and splashing about near Little Venice. It doesn’t get much better than that.
The private, white balcony decked with a jacuzzi and sun loungers, and a view of the breathtaking sea is by far the biggest draw of Kouros.
While the views are incredible, rooms stylish, facilities impressive and food delicious, it’s the staff at Kouros that really make the stay. Incredibly welcoming and always on hand to make your time at the hotel as great as possible. It was hard to go back to reality!
