A deciduous, small tree with long, graceful, weeping branches and rosy/pink buds that open to pale pink, bell-shaped, single flowers.
It has dark green, pointed leaves that fade to yellow before dropping in autumn.
This is possibly the finest of all weeping cherries and makes a truly splendid sight in a cooler-climate, spring garden - especially with crocus or narcissus closeby and conifers behind, to set it off.
