Parahebes are evergreen, compact shrubs not dissimilar to hebes (hence their name). Mat forming, they’re ideal for using as ground cover.

Parahebe catarractae 'Avalanche' bears an ‘avalanche’ of white blooms with a purple ring and central green eye, from June to September, contrasting well with serrated glossy green leaves. It’s an attractive, low-maintenance plant suitable for a sunny or partially shaded situation, such as at the front of a border, in a rock garden, as ground cover or even as part of a container display.

Grow Parahebe catarractae 'Avalanche' in moist but well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Deadhead regularly to promote the growth of more blooms. Cut back after flowering. Propagate by seed or semi ripe cuttings in summer.
