We are only a few weeks away from the end of the year. But before all the Christmas releases roll in, November brings with it a slew of intriguing Upcoming Bollywood Movies. This month's watchlist perhaps has some of the boldest titles of the year to land on the big screen. And by bold we mean films that have experimented not only with concepts but also visuals. For starters, Phone Bhoot, Hindi cinema's latest addition to the horror-comedy genre arrives early in the month. The film's star-studded line-up features Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khatter, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Jackie Shroff and others. Another film that will go heavy on VFX within the genre is Bhediya, a creature horror-comedy starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon. Apart from these titles, the month will also see the release of Uunchai which boasts of a cast led by Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, Neena Gupta and others in a heart-winning tale. Moreover, Drishyam led by Ajay Devgn and Tabu is set to get a sequel with Drishyam 2.

Katrina Kaif, Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi are teaming up for a horror comedy directed by Gurmeet Singh. The film which references Ghostbusters right off the bat revolves around a beautiful ghost (Kaif) who approaches two clueless "bhoot" busters (Khatter and Chaturvedi) with a business plan. Things take an interesting turn when the ghost slowly reveals her hidden motives. The film's big bad is Jackie Shroff's mysterious character. Between the slapstick comedy and the fun concept, Phone Bhoot promises a popcorn entertainer.

Based on a true story, the film chronicles an ambitious woman who works at a fast-food restaurant and is saving up to leave for Canada. However, things take a chilling turn when she finds herself trapped in the kitchen's cold storage refrigerator. While Mili fights for survival, her family and boyfriend attempt to look for her. The film which also features Sunny Kaushal is directed by National Award-winning director Mathukutty Xavier and is expected to make for a gripping watch.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu's next Telugu film is an action-thriller. Yashoda revolves around a financially impoverished woman who becomes a surrogate mother. She soon discovers that the surrogate facility is a front for a devious medical crime. As Yashoda uncovers the truth behind the place, she's faced with a dangerous system that is corrupted to the core. The trailer teased several high-octane action sequences featuring Samantha so that's something to look forward to.

Among films looking to pack in sheer star power, Uunchai tops the list. The Sooraj Barjatya directorial is touted to be a heartwarming family entertainer starring Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Sarika and Parineeti Chopra, among others. In the film, old friends band together to scale the highest peak - Mount Everest. When one of the friends passes away, the remaining troop vows to complete the climb in order to honour his last wishes. The film will see Parineeti play a mountain climbing trainer who takes on the task of guiding the gang. Uuchai is expected to be an endearing, life-affirming tale backed by powerful performances.

Drishyam 2

Drishyam 2 is the sequel to the 2017 thriller directed by the late Nishikant Kamat. It features Ajay Devgn who reprises his role as Vijay Salgaonkar as the case reopens seven years later. It follows the Salgaonkar family which is still on the police's radar for Sam's disappearance. Like the first film, the second installment is also inspired by the Malayalam hit featuring Mohanlal. This time around, the biggest obstacle for Vijay seems to be Akshaye Khanna's cop character who is leading the investigation and has his suspicions. The film will see Vijay making yet another attempt to save his family.

Bhediya is perhaps one of the most anticipated films of the month. The Amar Kaushik directorial is a horror-comedy led by Varun Dhawan. Revolving around a man who is bitten by a werewolf, an incident that gives him the ability to transform into one, the film is a creature feature full of possibilities. It sees Kriti Sanon play a doctor who believes that the newbie werewolf needs to use his powers for good. From the looks of it, Bhediya which also stars Abishek Banerjee and Deepak Dobriyal is going to be a CGI-heavy ride. Moreover, it belongs to the same horror movie universe as Stree and Roohi. While the former was a huge hit, the latter opened to middling reviews.

It also sees Rajkummar Rao, Radhika Apte, Sikandar Kher, and others in pivotal roles. With a plot that revolves around love, betrayal, and murder, the film promises a mind-boggling whodunnit that’s as dark as it gets.

One of the most unusual titles on November's calendar is Thai Massage. The film sees Gajraj Rao play a 70-year-old who embarks on a journey to find the cure for his erectile dysfunction. He goes from Ujjain to Thailand to find a solution and is up for some awkward encounters. The film which is directed by National Award winner Mangesh Hadawale also features Divyendu Sharma, Sunny Hinduja, and Rajpal Yadav in key roles.

Overall, November has a fair share of experiments slated across genres.
