The sea of Menorca

Menorca has more than 75 beaches that adorn its coast of which 24 are virgin.

Menorca located in the Balearic Sea enjoys the most crystalline waters you can imagine, the different geological characteristics and the help of the Posidonia make the North and South of the island two completely different worlds.

The south of Menorca spotted with endless coves with clear and crystalline waters has white sands fruit of the composition of its cliffs and the contribution of posidonia.

Posidonia, a plant that lives in the sea and not an algae as some believe is responsible for keeping our waters clean and transparent as well as being the habitat of numerous species and is the lung of our sea.

Calas like Calan Turqueta, es Talaier, Son Saura, Macarella are located in the south of the island and they can be accessed by road or with our boat the Red Party that from Ciutadella sets sail daily on the way to Son Saura and its wonderful waters and then continue towards Calan Turqueta where we eat and get off the boat to walk and sunbathe on its white sands and then continue the voyage to Macarella.

To the north, we find other types of beaches with equally crystal clear waters and hidden corners that will delight your beach day. The yellow, red, gray sands, its dark rocks and in some places full of red clay are a spectacle.

Calas like Cala Pregonda, Cala Pilar, Calan Tortuga, are unmissable visits and you will never forget them.

If you are looking to enjoy nature and the sea Menorca is your place, its virgin beaches, the "Camí de Cavalls" and its villages are ideal places to rest and walk carefreely.

Ciutadella and its secrets will enchant you.

Ciutadella, the westernmost city of Menorca from where we can see the neighboring island on clear days invites you to stroll and walk its narrow streets full of palaces, vestige of past times. Its varied cultural offer will enchant you, as well as its restaurants, shops and how not? Its friendly people.

You can visit palaces such as Can Saura, Museo del Bastió de sa Font and the most emblematic places of the famous festivities of Sant Joan.

From the center and taking a walk you can access the port of Ciutadella and embark on the Fiesta Rojo boat, an emblematic boat that travels daily along the south coast of Menorca crossing the cliffs south of Ciutadella until doubling Cape Artrutx the closest point to the island of Mallorca.

This lighthouse of an imposing height is a spectacle from the sea, then bordering the most beautiful coves of Menorca a stop in the sandy area of Son Saura is a pleasure for the senses.

A dip in its waters is a spectacle! Doing "snorkel" and seeing the fish swimming carelessly  is beautiful, once ready the Red Boat continues its way along beautiful landscapes until it stops at Calan Turqueta, a paradise on Earth.

There, we will spend a few hours among the pines overlooking the sea and taste a first class paella.

Menorca, Biosphere Reserve since 1993 preserves its beaches as hundreds of years ago, the pines of the south coast and the bushes and wild olive trees deformed by the north wind that we call here Tramuntana are witnesses of the passage of time and how Menorca has been able to achieve a sustainable balance between tourism and nature.

We will be in the Port of Ciutadella in our Red Party, waiting for your visit wanting to share our sea and our island with you, we will make you guides and we will tell you the most interesting anecdotes and curiosities of its coves, Menorca and its inhabitants.

And at sunset when we arrive in Ciutadella a good option is to go to the Castillo de Sant Nicolau and see the sunset behind the neighboring island guessing its relief and its high mountains, a not inconsiderable end of party.

It only remains to recommend you not to miss the virgin coves of the south coast, to delight you with their colors, aromas and rest on their white sands and how not? Give you a good bath in its waters.
