This meme of Foghorn Leghorn explaining to Justin Wong why he got hit by Evo Moment 37 is the funniest thing you'll see this week

Well... that's certainly not a headline I expected to ever write — but here we are.

For some reason, there's a Foghorn Leghorn meme going around right now that seems to have made its way into the FGC. We're thankful that it did, though, as one was created that sees the Looney Tunes character scolding fighting game legend Justin Wong and explaining to him why he got hit by the iconic Daigo parry during Evo Moment 37 — and it's pure gold.

Mugen match up pits Street Fighter 3's Ryu against Street Fighter 6's Ryu to demonstrate which version is stronger

Mugen is a fighting game engine released back in 1999. Even today, fans have been using the engine to create dream match ups that would otherwise be impossible.

As such, Violin Ken has released an interesting video that depicts a match up between Ryu and... Ryu. More specifically, this is the Street Fighter 3's version of Ryu facing off against Street Fighter 6's Ryu.

The bizarre story of Street Fighter's least successful protagonist

There's a good chance you don't even know it because Capcom doesn't tend to highlight them as much as they could, but Ryu isn't the "main character" of each Street Fighter game. He was back in the early games, but after Alpha 3 developers decided to anchor their story threads around other newcomers (while still widely keeping Ryu as the face of the franchise).

The protagonists of each game have seen varying levels of appreciation and success, but perhaps the most interesting instance comes from the least interesting protagonist: Street Fighter 4's Abel.

There's some fighting game pros out there who've become intrinsically linked to a particular character, and fans are going to want to see their reactions when they get announced.

Unfortunately, Dudley hasn't been revealed for Street Fighter 6 (yet), but we got to witness the next best thing for now with a ridiculously impressive mod of the boxer in Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition, which of course caught the attention of the one and only NE|Smug.

Akuma player makes almost superhuman counter with Raging Demon against Aegis Reflector setup in Street Fighter 3: Third Strike

Despite the fact that the game is about to hit its 25th birthday, Street Fighter 3: Third Strike still has a very active player base with new competitors and veterans alike grinding away in the technical classic.

One such player in Juan Zuniga recently shared a rather impressive Third Strike match with an almost inhuman Raging Demon punish with Akuma.

Dudley's missed the past 2 games but this ridiculously impressive mod shows what could have been for the boxer in Street Fighter 5

Despite being one of the more highly requested characters from the Street Fighter 3 era, Dudley has been missing in action throughout Street Fighter 5 and Street Fighter 6 (so far) wit no real hint at his return yet.

That's where the talented Ryuski and Killbox stepped in to show off what the boxer could look like in a more modern title by dropping a trailer for Dudley in Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition as a ridiculously impressive mod with his own moveset and mechanics.

8-time Evo champion Justin Wong shares opinions on the old vs. new fighting game difficulty debate

There continues to be quite a bit of debate lately sparked by fighting game legend Ryan Hart's comments about the genre being much easier to compete in now and how current players couldn't stack up to the best classic champions in titles like Street Fighter 3: Third Strike.

Who better to add his perspective now than another legend and eight-time Evo champ (nine times if you count Battle by the Bay) in Justin Wong with one of the most winning fighting game players of all time across a bunch of different titles talking about the new versus old.

Rollback netcode plays cruel trick on Justin Wong as he gets Evo Moment 37'd again

For years now, Justin Wong has seemingly given a variety of opportunities to recreate Evo Moment 37 against him in Street Fighter 3: Third Strike. This was a moment in which BST|Daigo Umehara was famously able to evade chip damage against Wong's Chun-Li using a super thanks to a series of perfectly timed parries.

One would think that Evo Moment 37 would be to Justin Wong's shame, but he has previously admitted that even he was glad that it happened looking back considering its importance to the FGC's culture. As it turns out, someone else has finally been able to recreate the situation that Wong had set up for himself, though the game's rollback netcode briefly gave Justin Wong false hope before snatching it away.

You'll have no idea who's going to win this crazy round of Third Strike until 'KO' pops up on screen

The most revered moment in all of competitive Street Fighter comes from Third Strike for a reason: it tends to produce the hypest sequences. Why exactly this is is debatable, but there's a magic that comes from the flow of the footsies, flow, animations, and the way the parry mechanic works.

The game may have dropped a quarter century ago, but it's still cranking out edge of your seat action as exemplified by the Akuma vs. Ken showdown waiting for you after the jump.

This Super Smash Bros. Ultimate mod brings fans a dream match up between two of video games' best boxers

Video game mods can be a beautiful thing. While some PC savvy folks out there use mods to create strange additions to our favorite fighting games or reshape a game's mechanics, others add characters to titles that would likely never make the cut which can lead to some incredible dream match ups.

Ultimate that brings Street Fighter 3's Dudley, easily the best boxer in all of fighting games and video games in general (I'm totally not biased, I swear...), into the fray.
