Good game considering the lack of good Civil War games. Reminded me of the old Sid Meir game from the 80,s. Have not been able to get to run on win 7, but got it running on a second machine with Vista. Had to disable security and run it as admin. I like the mexican war missions and the battle of New Orleans was fun. However you are constanly moving about the screen keeping up with the action. Also I have had a hard time controlling the artie, keeping it firing and direction and target to fire at. All in all its an good game for the price with some interesting features that make it a stand out in a sorely lacking field of Civil War Games.
I believe this is the best American Conquest by far. More options are available with the ability to populate your armies to hugh numbers. It is maybe the best strategy war game and the only one I play. One drawback is you must have the RAM available to load the game so be prepared and informed before buying. I rate this game EXCELLENT!
Doesnt work for windows 7. Good skirmish. Had to use my old computer. (Windows XP) GREAT GAME THOUGH!!!!!!
