Hosta Aureo marginata

Hosta Aureo marginata

Green leaves are edged in golden-yellow, giving shaded gardens a neat, professional look. A popular, easy-to-grow variety, Hosta Aureo marginata grows 18-24" tall with fragrant, bell-shaped purple flowers that open above the foliage in midsummer to early fall. It's ideal for naturalizing, providing sparkling color for years. Hosta lilies, sometimes called "Plantain" or "Heart Lilies," are some of the best perennials for shade and woodland gardens. These shade-loving perennials are tolerant of a wide variety of soil types, but prefer well-drained soil.

Botanical Name: Hosta fortunei 'Aureomarginata'
