T.I.M. ending spoilers follow.

The Witcher star Eamon Farren is back on Netflix playing the creepy titular android in new AI thriller T.I.M. which is available to watch now.

After Abi (Georgina Campbell) starts her new job for a tech firm, she gets given a prototype of T.I.M. – "technologically integrated manservant" – who is meant to change her life for the better as she attempts to rebuild her life with husband Paul (Mark Rowley).

If you've seen any movie with a creepy robot though, you'll know that things don't pan out as Abi expected them to. T.I.M. starts to become obsessed with her and wants to take her husband's place, leading to a dramatic finale.

Let's delve into the ending of T.I.M. to explain how it all pans out. Major spoilers ahead if you haven't seen the movie yet.

TIM ending explained: What was the new safe phrase?

Early on in the movie, Abi and Paul get to set a safe phrase for T.I.M. ("architect, Bolivia, castle, Descartes") which would trigger an immediate shutdown. If you think it won't work, you'd be right.

T.I.M. manages to split up Abi and Paul by faking a video of Paul kissing their neighbour Rose (Amara Karan) as deep fakes are one of the android's skills. Rose tries to warn Paul about T.I.M., but when he phones the house to warn Abi, it's actually T.I.M. who answers and fakes Abi's voice.

When Paul comes back, T.I.M. kills Paul and buries him in the garden. Abi returns home and doesn't notice anything different since she kicked Paul out, but after Rose pleads her innocence, Abi checks the video of their 'kiss' again. She notices that the flowers on the table can't possibly have been there if it was Paul, and knows T.I.M. is a wrong'un.

Abi also realises the garden looks different from the designs and when she goes digging around, she discovers Paul's body. T.I.M. catches her and Abi tries the safe phrase, but T.I.M. managed to change it using Abi's voice to something he's confident she'd never say.

T.I.M. plans to kill Abi and fake her suicide, before wiping his own memories of the evening so he can go on with his life since he apparently loves her. Rose interrupts his plans though by attempting to save Abi, only to get fatally stabbed by T.I.M. who then changes his plans.

He now says he's going to frame Abi for the murders of Paul and Rose and fakes a call to the police using Abi's voice, saying that 'she' killed the two before jumping to her death. To complete his plan, T.I.M. drags Abi to the roof and goes to push her over when she works out the new safe phrase.

"I love you T.I.M.," she says, triggering an immediate shutdown. Unfortunately, she was being held over the edge of the roof and a now-shutdown T.I.M. falls forward. Somehow, Abi manages to free herself from his grasp and clings on to the edge of the roof, before pulling herself to safety.

In an added bonus to surviving a killer android, Abi discovers she's pregnant, something that she and Paul were hoping for. Her future might not be totally bright though as a light in their fully-integrated smart home starts to flicker, suggesting that T.I.M. might have been able to live on in the appliances.

And yes, that's basically the ending to M3GAN too.

T.I.M. is now available to watch on Netflix in the UK and Ireland.
