Not exactly cheap as chips! Bargain Hunt star David Dickinson snaps up £1.5m penthouse next-door to Coleen and Wayne Rooney
He rose to fame on hit show Bargain Hunt where he was known for his love of rooting out 'cheap as chips' antiques.
And David Dickinson has revealed he has purchased a real Bobby Dazzler of a home next to Coleen and Wayne Rooney in Prestbury, Cheshire, reports The Mirror.
The Cheshire-born antiques guru, 76, who is worth an estimated £2m, has bought a lavish £1.5m penthouse next to Everton footballer Wayne, 32, and his wife Coleen, 31.

He told the website: 'When we walked in, it really had the wow factor.
'The security is marvellous. When I go away with work, it's good to know (wife) Lorne feels safe.'
Although they are three of the North-West's finest, the Dickinson's and the Rooney's won't be neighbours for long, with Wayne and Coleen moving to a new £20m property currently under construction in the Cheshire countryside.

It was reported the house will have six bedrooms, big enough to accommodate their four young sons, Kai, eight, Klay, four, Kit, two. and newborn Cass Mac.
The mega-mansion is also believed to house a spa with a plunge pool, as well as a cinema room on site and an orangery and they will be able to keep up to 15 horses.
MailOnline previously reported that a snooker room, wine cellar and football pitch are also being constructed on the sprawling pile.

Their current three-storey mansion includes a swimming pool, hot tub, gym, private cinema and football pitch.
David hosted BBC 1's Bargain Hunt between 2001 and 2004 where he was known for his flamboyant presenting style and savvy advice on vintage treasures.
He now presents ITV show Dickinson's Real Deal, where he advises members of the public on how to get the best price for their treasured antique.
