C&P Vacation Properties
ZU SCHÖN, UM WAHR ZU SEIN

C&P Immobilien AG will take the renowned and long-standing Flachauerhof company into the Group’s own assets immediately. The long-term continuation of the **** hotel in the centre of Flachau with the sustainable approach of the previous owner Wilfried Hartl Junior will be guaranteed by its integration into C&P’s “Vacation Properties” division.

“Marlene and Walter greet you warmly.” An idyllic picture postcard of Flachau from the late 1960s including a note of surprise about “everything we’re being offered here”. How surprised would Marlene and Walter be feeling if they were writing home today? Probably not in the least because they would post their impressions on Facebook.

They would certainly rave about the approach to sustainability, an approach that is concerned with the condition we want to leave the world in for our grandchildren. It extends from the stylish rooms with many elements made from recycled wood as well as the wellness area with recycled-wood sauna, brine steam bath and ice room. And it is also an approach lived out by the waiter, Norbert, who has a personal interest in the well-being of his guests. “Too good to be true,” as Marlene and Walter would say.

Beauty alone is not enough

“We are developing a living space that is not only beautiful but also good,” says DI Andreas Grabner, executive board member and head of the Vacation Properties business unit, when describing C&P’s philosophy. Long-term sense of purpose as opposed to short-term profits is just as important as the question of sustainability – the key words being ecology, health, and regionality.

says Master Builder DI Andreas Grabner
(COO | C&P Immobilien AG)

The long-standing Flachauerhof company – built in 1967/68, acquired by the innovation engineer Wilfried Hartl Junior in 2006 and developed into the first and only 4-star ecological hotel in the region – has found a project that fits perfectly as part of the newly founded ‘Vacation Properties’ business unit at C&P, not only from an economic point of view but also from an ethical point of view. It is a project which C&P believes in so strongly that it will be transferred to the company’s own assets.

C&P, together with its co-investors Helmut Raggam (member of the Supervisory Board at C&P Immobilien AG) and Jakob Schlögl, is not only continuing the work but also expanding it further. The Flachauerhof Hotel has been a leader in innovation within its sector since 2012, for example, by involving nutritionists in the development of menus and by creating a coordinated harmony of light, specially selected music and mood-enhancing essential oils throughout the building. Now its owners want to create something in cooperation with the region, something which has never been seen before. According to the trained master builder DI Andreas Grabner, the idea is to transform the added value for the region into ecological added value.

The Flachauerhof Hotel is aiming to develop an extremely attractive Austrian tourist offer, which means living space of a different kind, so that Marlene and Walter’s grandchildren can still enjoy the Flachauerhof.
