Most of us reserve that Sprite goodness for when we're feeling nausea on the horizon, right? Sprite, saltines, and sleep are always the things that make me feel better. Because of her sick-day only reputation, most of us probably don't reach for Sprite when we need a mixer, but let's give her a chance to be your designated beverage, shall we?
Sprite is one of the most versatile beverage options out there, IMO. Its lemon-lime flavor and bubbly texture allow it to ~complement~ literally any drink without overpowering the other flavors in your concoction.
Another huge plus: You can find Sprite pretty much anywhere. From your nearest grocery store to the hot dog cart outside your office, it's always a well-stocked soda. Oh! And it's also real cheap (totaling at $1.74 for a 2 L. bottle). Basically, there's no reason not to mix it with the alcohols.
Since you may not have been the biggest proponent of Sprite before (It's okay. People change.), we've compiled some of the best, most creative cocktails that utilize the carbonated beverage to get you started. If you're doing it right, you'll likely have extra Sprite leftover for when your hangover hits. Sprite really can conquer all.
Vodka Cranberry Cocktail
Add ice to a cocktail glass. In that glass, pour in equal parts Sprite, cranberry juice, orange juice, and vodka. Mix well to combine, add a slice of orange for garnish, and serve.

Red Wine Spritzer
Fill individual glasses with ice. Fill the glasses halfway with red wine, then top each glass with Sprite. Stir to combine and serve.

Fill two old-fashioned glasses with ice. Add 1½ oz. vodka, ¾ oz. grenadine, and ½ oz. cherry Heering liqueur into a large glass or shaker. Stir well to combine and split evenly between the two small glasses. Top both small glasses with Sprite and combine. Garnish with at least two maraschino or soaked sour cherries.

Add 1½ oz. Citadelle gin, ½ oz. fresh lemon juice, ½ oz. pine syrup, and 3 dashes Cocktailpunk Alpino cocktail bitters into a mixing glass with ice. Strain into a Collins glass over ice and top with Sprite and a dash more of bitters.

Fill a highball glass with crushed ice and pour in the ingredients as follows: 1 oz. peach schnapps, 1 oz. blue curaçao, 2 oz. vodka or white rum, and top with Sprite. Stir well and garnish with a lemon wheel.

Sassy Sangria
