Oxalis articulata
Oxalis come in many forms colours shapes and sizes each adorable in its own way. The majority are perennials some entering dormancy as roots others as tubers others not at all. All are ideal alpines for front of borders pots and containers. Rarely growing to more than 10-15cm.
These oxalis have blousy four leaf clover leaves and bright pink flowers in mass throughout the summer. They require very little attention and will multiply and naturalise well.
Grows up to 15cm tall and wide.
Best in full sun or part shade in all but boggy soils.
Grow well in containers and rockeries as well and beds and borders.
Plants come in a 7cm pot (appearance will vary as these overwinter as bulbs and regrow in spring to flower in summer and autumn).
Upon arrival unpack and water place in a cool semi shady spot to allow to recover from shipping. After a day or two these can be planted out. Dig a hole the size of the pot and fill with water. Sprinkle a handful of slow release food granules into the hole (this is optional but will give the plants an added boost and can be purchased with your order) soak the plant pot and remove the whole plant and its soil in one place directly into the hole back firm and firm in well to ensure their are no air pockets. Water in. Should the weather be hot during planting further watering may be necessary. Otherwise simply enjoy and trim back old flowers head once they have gone over.
