Teddy Dwerg Rabbits

Meet the Teddy Dwerg

Teddy Dwerg rabbits are a rare breed originating from Germany.  For want of a better way of explaining, they are dwarf Angora - although require less maintenance than their larger cousins.  They are a small breed and they have long wool which needs regular grooming.  It also means that their housing needs to be carefully considered - mine are litter trained and have vinyl in their hutches.  They are friendly little rabbits and having fallen in love with them a couple of years ago, I am very excited to have them here are Cheshunt Mini Lops ( yes... we might need to change our name!)

Yogi

Teddy Dwerg

Yogi (bear)is the first Teddy Dwerg we were able to bring to Cheshunt Mini Lops... and what a character he is!  Yogi is a blue harli and a total fluff ball.  He quickly made himself at home here and now is a real character in the shed!

Patch

Teddy Dwerg

Patch is our second boy.  He is a lilac white ear.  Patch is such a softie - he loves a snuggle.  We are very much looking forwards to him becoming a daddy later in the year.

Pippin

Fawn Teddy Dwerg doe

Pippin lives with Meadow.  We are very lucky to have imported her from Spain.  She is a sweet natured girl, always welcoming you when you walk into the shed.

Meadow

Blue Teddy Dwerg Doe

Meadow came with Pippin from Spain.  They are not sisters, but they live happily together and are the best of friends.  Meadow is the cheeky one though - as soon as the food bowl goes in, she drags it away from Pippin so she can eat first!

Fleur

Teddy Dwerg

Fleur is a gorgeous girl.  She now lives with her daughter Nelly.  She is a fabulous mum and incredibly gentle.  She is the best when it is grooming time for sitting still!

Nelly

Teddy Dwerg

Nelly is the first Teddy Dwerg to be born here!  It has been amazing to watch her grow so far.  She loves people and will sit forever in your hands having a cuddle.  We are very excited for things to come!

Tofu

Lilac white ear Teddy Dwerg Doe

Tofu is the most beautiful girl.  She demands attention.. constantly!  After a difficult start, Tofu has shown her self to be the most amazing mum.  She is so attentive.  She loves nothing better than laying next to you on the sofa.

Pebbles

Teddy Dwerg

This little girl, born to Tofu, has done so well.  Unfortunately, it took Tofu a little while to work out what she was supposed to do, so this little one caused me many sleepless nights, checking every 2 hours and helping with the feeding... but looking at her now, she is just perfect- being partly hand fed, she is even more super friendly.  she will literally climb into your hands

Sprout

Lilac buck

Sometimes it is just meant to be!  We had no intention of getting another Teddy - and then we were introduced to Sprout, who was looking for a home!  He came to us at 8 weeks old an immediately settled into the gang.  He has a lovely temperament, very cuddly - but not a fan of being brushed... a slight problem when you are a teddy who requires a lot of grooming!
