PODOCARPUS
Commonly known as Alpine totara
Genus of about 100 species of dioecious, occasionally monoecious, evergreen, coniferous trees and shrubs from forests, mainly in warm-temperate to tropical zones.

EvergreenRigid, linear, green-bronze leaves 1-2cm (½-¾in) long, set radially around the slender, mid-green shoots.

ConiferMale flowers are produced in yellow, catkin-like cones, females in green cone-like structuires. Oblong, bright-red fruit 6mm (¼in) long are produced in autumn on female plants.
