The Infused provides a completely different reaction type than my similarly drilled TNT. The Infused is cleaner with a nice arcing motion on the backend. Roto Grip TNT Infused Cover: eTrax™ PLUS Hybrid Reactive Weight Block: Torpex™ Core (Symmetrical) Color: Glow Orange/Copper/Plum Review: This is a great release from Roto Grip. The initial TNT technical data has benchmark ball written all over it, and now you have your benchmark hybrid. We drilled this ball with our normal layout: tweener, 350-375 revs, 16.5mph, layout of choice is 4x4x2 (pin is above bridge). With the out of box finish this ball took a couple of games to wear the cover down to a point where we felt there was a bit more hold or miss room. It seemed a bit picky the first 2/3 of the lane if you weren’t perfect, and our house shot isn’t too difficult. Although it did burn in a little bit after some cover wear we took a 2k abralon pad and on the fresh saw a much more predictable and consistent reaction that you would except out of box from a benchmark like the OG Hyroad, Xponent, etc. Overall this is a great piece for someone starting out with the first high performance piece or someone adding that benchmark Hybrid to their bag. The ball features the same Torpex core featured in the original TNT but this time is wrapped in the 2 part pearl 1 part solid E-trax hybrid cover. The pearl additive and polished finish make the motion of this ball a suprising polar opposite of its predecessor. I tested this ball on our very high ratio house pattern. The longer 12:1 design of our house shot is very cliffed and as a result really locks you into balls which can stand up quickly to avoid the downlane OOB. The TNT infused has been great for this purpose as the fast revving core and quick response cover really get it make a quick change of direction. This ball is a little condition specific as the quick response can make it lock up and get forward a little too quickly for some. The reaction for me has been great for getting the ball to roll off the spot very violently. On a more blended condition I think the TNT Infused will favor bowlers with more ball speed. Roto Grip TNT Infused – WWRD 11/3/23 Cover: eTrax Plus Hybrid Reactive Core: Torpex Core RG: 2.47 RG. Diff.: 0.052 Finish: Reacta Gloss Roto Grip’s new TNT Infused is a Hybrid (2/3 Pearl, 1/3 Solid) Symmetrical piece that is good for Medium-Heavy Volume Patterns. PAP is 5 5/16 R 1 3/16 Up. Rev Rate: 400. Speed: 16.5. Drilled this piece with the Pin above the bridge, CG kicked out 1” from the palm. I threw this piece on a fresh 42’ House pattern. Out of Box ball motion was smooth through the fronts with a hockey stick Motion on the backend. I compared this piece to the Roto Grip Magic Gem (Asym), Clone (Asym), and Hustle USA (Sym). Magic Gem 2-2 Left but started early in the mids with a smooth backend. Clone was similar line as the Magic Gem but a few more on the backend. Hustle USA was 3-3 Right and is smoother on the backend. Roto Grip’s newest HP3 line ball is a 2 part pearl 1 part solid eTrax+ hybrid cover that is wrapped around the Torpex core. I drilled mine 5 x 5 x 4.5 and after throwing this ball for awhile, I believe this is going to be a HUGE hit. It was pretty clean through the fronts but it still handles the oil pretty well and the motion it makes on the backend with the ways it goes through the pins is what really sets it apart. This is going to be very versatile on where you can use it and the different motions it makes. You can add surface to make it better for the fresh or leave it shinny and have it own the transition.

In comparison to the TNT the Infused is longer and more responsive and will be more angular than the original. Anything you desire in a ball to create a touch of length and control the TNT Infused may be the answer you are looking for. At recent MatchMaker events the TNT Infused has been doing well and much better carry wise as compared to the original. For me, we went a touch more depth in the finger holes to create slightly more length (2 1/8 to 2 3/4). The reason for this change is the original TNT (layout the same) burned up for me which had an impact to carry. Initally I thought the TNT was going to be a staple in my bag, but could not get there with surface changes etc. The Infused has defintely been a tremendous upgrade and proves what a tweak to the coverstock can do. Overall, I feel the oob finish is much better on the TNT Infused and I will continue to test for a period of time. The original TNT was a tad strong and the cover dominated a tad to much for some players. Just to note, in my area the lanes tend to be older surfaces and get "sparky" fairly quickly. The TNT Infused has its place as that control piece for this type of situation. The TNT Infused will work best on medium volume patterns. If your desire is to have control downlane the TNT Infused is worth taking a look or even second look at it. I was pretty shocked how much better it looked in its 2.0 version. The Infused Hybrid read the lane earlier than I expected which gave me more hook than I thought thus making it a strong benchmark shiny ball. I used this ball in league when my Exotic was too strong and I had control and a lot of strikes. I since have been practicing with it and I am becoming more comfortable and impressed with this ball. The TNT Infused has an explosive punch at the pocket. The TNT Infused fits between the Exotic Gem and the Electrify in my line up. The Infused is responsive to friction but does not over react. This is a good looking ball and as more get out on the lanes I think it will be very well received by all bowlers. I would not call the TNT Infused an angular ball because for me it provides a powerful controlled motion throughout the whole lane. This ball hits great and carry is very good even on off hits. The TNT Infused is very versatile and could even cut down on how many balls you need to carry to the bowling center. Summary: The TNT Infused is a great looking Hybrid ball. The TNT Infused has a strong benchmark motion. The TNT Infused is versatile and has explosive hit. Magic Gem: The Magic Gem is the strongest ball I currently have in my bag. We see plenty of overall motion with this ball as it reads the kids very strong and continues very well. This ball is designed for those heavier oil conditions or when they're absolutely walled and you need the ball to get ramped up early to fight those tighter conditions. I see myself using this ball more on sport conditions versus house as I typically need a cleaner reaction on house to blend out the pattern more which provides additional miss room. For those who liked the X3 from Roto Grip you will enjoy the Magic Gem. TNT Infused: The TNT Infused is an excellent benchmark symmetrical ball to throw when the fronts begin to hook early yet provides tons of mid lane read. The Infused will be more usable for most players against the original TNT as it provides much more back end reaction and doesn't see the fronts as early as the original. I have found success using the TNT as a step down off my stronger balls like the Magic Gem, Eternity PI and Xponent. I am a big fan of this ball as it provides plenty of usability when I need to open my angles up on those medium to higher volume patterns. The Infused will be good on varying patterns from house to sport.

Layout: 5 x 3 x 5 Surface: Reacta Gloss The TNT Infused brings back the Torpex Core with the new Etrax Plus Hybrid Coverstock. I was pretty skeptical about this ball initially because of how early and smooth the original TNT was. It made the ball pretty pattern specific for me. The new TNT Infused with the Reacta Gloss finish really made a big difference. I went with an opposite drilling with the infused (pin down) compared to a pin up in the TNT just to see a difference in overall ball shape. I was glad that I did. I got to test this ball on a 44ft Typical House shot and a 42ft 32ml sport pattern. On the typical house pattern, I saw clean through the front with a strong midlane roll and ample continuation downlane. It is a ball reaction I enjoy seeing with my higher speed and high rev rate style. On the fresh, the responsiveness of the ball made carry a little tough as some shots got too far down the lane and others were too responsive off the friction. Taking the reacta gloss off the cover would allow me to use this more on the fresh. As the pattern started to develop, the ball naturally started to be more in its comfort zone. The strong midlane roll allowed me to be further away from the friction which is my strong suit. This allowed me to miss more in the oil and not over hook as much when I got the ball to the friction a little sooner. It blended the lanes quite well the further left I got with my feet. I do recommend this ball more as a transition ball for most styles unless you add surface to the cover because then it would be a little smoother for the fresh. If you liked the TNT and want a similar ball with more pop down lane, this would be a no brainer ball. In my opinion, the Infused can be much more versatile then the original TNT. On the 42ft Sport Pattern, it gave very similar results as the house pattern. The Reacta Gloss made it tough to use on the fresh as there was too much length out of the ball. As the lanes broke down and I needed more length through the front part of the lane, I saw great shape in the midlane and good continuation through the pins. This Infused is definitely a good 1st and 2nd transtition ball. I can honestly see myself having two different drilled ones in my bag for medium length oil patterns. I was pretty impressed with the overall shape of the ball and its continuation despite how smooth the original TNT was for me. I believe for most styles, this ball would be a good first transtition ball for medium to medium heavy oil. I think too much oil may give this ball problems as well as the lack of oil as well. Altering the surface by removing the reacta gloss would certainly help this ball work in other environments. I do think its continuation will make this ball work for many styles. The TNT Infused features a cleaner, more responsive cover on the original TNT weight block. While the TNT was round, slow and early, the Infused is cleaner and tips more, while still remaining familiarly smooth and controllable. If you're looking for a clean benchmark ball that fits right in the middle of the bag, then the Infused is the ball for you!
