It's the perfect beach location for families or groups of friends seeking a pleasant day at the beach while remaining close to Porto's downtown area. During the stay, the guest is responsible for the safekeeping and proper use of the property's keys. Please avoid leaving them in the lock or mailbox. In the event that a specialized technician is needed for door opening or in case of damage to the key and/or lock, the costs associated with this service will be the responsibility of the guest. In case of key loss, a penalty will be applied.

Foz do Douro still feels like its own little village. Dripping down the steep hills of the city‘s waterfront all the way to the river mouth, where the Douro meets the Atlantic Ocean, the colorful houses are washed in the warmness of the light at sunset. Here you will find small quirky shops selling fishing gear, old-style grocery shops with local fresh produce and high quality gourmet products, as well as high-end unique fashion or interior design shops. You can spend hours roaming the sidewalks bordering the mouth of the Douro river, from the historic tower and former lighthouse of "São-Miguel-O-Anjo", to the gorgeous "Passeio Alegre" with its lush greenery, and "Avenida D. Carlos I", outlined by its beautiful palmtrees, all the way until the Senhora da Luz lighthouse and the first beaches of the city and enjoy the unpredictability of the Ocean’s temperament. This is a rather quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Public transportation is available in the form of buses and also the historic tram line, which connects "Passeio Alegre" to the old city center.
