Complete your professional camera setup with this telephoto zoom lens for Nikon F-mount cameras. The Silent Wave Motor powers ultra-fast, near-silent internal focusing with no breathing effect across the entire zoom range, and the Vibration Reduction technology helps to produce crisp images.
Compatible with a variety of Nikon DSLR cameras
Works with any Nikon FX or DX-format DSLR camera with an F-bayonet mount. Also compatible with most Nikon 35mm SLR cameras.
Telephoto zoom lens provides detailed photos from a distance
Throw backgrounds out of focus, grab detail and capture vivid close-up shots of distant subjects.
70-200mm focal length
This versatile, long-range zoom lens covers a broad range, enabling you to capture the perfect image from various distances.
f/2.8 maximum aperture
Creates sharp, detailed images with shallow depth of field and softly blurred background. Performs best in moderate-to-bright light settings or outdoors on overcast days.
Up to 0.21x magnification
Magnification ensures your images come out just the way you want.
Vibration Reduction technology
Improves image stability by automatically compensating for camera shake.
Silent Wave Motor
Uses ultrasonic vibrations - rather than a gear system - to focus the lens, providing incredibly smooth, silent and precise autofocus operation.
High Refractive Index Lens
Achieves great optical performance in an even more compact body.
M/A focusing mode
Allows switching from automatic to manual focusing with virtually no lag time by simply turning the focusing ring on the lens.
Electromagnetic Diaphragm Mechanism
Provides highly accurate electronic diaphragm or aperture blade control when using auto exposure during continuous shooting.
Nano Crystal Coat
Effectively reduces ghost and flare effects caused by light entering the lens diagonally.
3.6' minimum focus distance
Accommodates 77mm filters
Accessories included
Comes with a hood, lens caps (front and rear) and ballistic nylon case.

Q: QuestionWill this work on Nikon D3400 and 3500 cameras(4 answers)
A: Answeras Far as I know it will , the lens mount is the same on DX and FX Cameras so it should mount. there is a 1.5 Crop Factor for DX cameras . most Nikon cameras use the same Electronic Connections so it should function the same . I have never used the D3400 or the 3500, but I think they will work. Check the Camera manual for Lens Compatabilty.Answered by raider

Q: QuestionDoes this lens fit a Nikon Z6??(4 answers)
A: AnswerYou'll need Nikon's ZTF—or Z-mount to F-mount adapter. Works great to use the older F-mount lenses with the new mirrorless Z-series cameras.Answered by Paul
- A: AnswerYes is compatible. About the quality some say it may lose a little bit of quality when you need to use an adapter others says is not a big difference. I have not used such camera with my lens.

The best 70-200 on the market
Im a amateur enthusiast in photography i use the 70-200 VR1 for few years and i loved it really nice lens but has few flaws (vignetting and sharpness in the corners are weak)but still a great lens then last month i bought the VR2 version and its an outstanding lens the optics were superior to the old one but had some flaws too (focus breathing and quality wasn't on par with canon's best)so yestarday i decided to return the VR2 and get this new lens that im gonna call simply the VR3(Nikon doesn't call it that)and this are the results. Its simply the best lens i ever used ,its amazing,no more foucus breathing, its sharp all across, build quality second to none, and yes its faster than the already fast VR2 itsnsimply the best lens on nikon line up. The only flaw has to be the price. So who should get this lens: **If you are a pro you do need this lens. **If you are an amateur but get gigs, events like weddings often and you make decent money out of them also get it,it will pay for itself. **If money its not an issue and you like photography obviously you gonna get it. **If you like best bang for you buck and only use your lens every now and then,to photograph your kids at the park get The VR 1 its dead cheap nowadays. So in summary this lens its the best telephoto lens in the world (sorry canon shooters time to pass the torch)Nikon has managed to release a superb lens that its a great investment and will serve you for a decade (or more) its the reverse ring a problem? After usining it few hours i got use to it so honestly i don't think it matters, now please stand up and salute the king of lenses(for now).

Amazing lens
Bought this lens for my Nikon D850 camera and it’s an amazing lens. I shoot a lot of fast action shots primarily Motocross, and the f2.8 lens focuses super quick. Picture quality is amazing. The lens is pretty pricey, but the quality is definitely worth it if you want a quick lens with crisp detail. Definitely recommend.

Sharp and Fast lens
I had bought this lens as a replacement for my first generation VR version. This is fast and sharp lens ideal for portrait and sports. The auto focus is very fast in my Nikon D500. It is a "must have" lens for any serious photographer.
