Once you arrive in Coca, you’ll be taken to the pier where you’ll board a motorized canoe for a 4-hour ride, followed by an additional 2 hours to reach the first destination.

Yasuni  Biosphere Reserve & Pink Dolphin Expedition 4 days/3nights

Day 1: Coca to Sacha Nampi

  • Early morning departure from the Francisco de Orellana Marina in Coca.
  • Travel by motorized canoe down the Napo River to Panacocha.
  • Observe diverse bird species along the river and islands.
  • Visit the Island of Monkeys, inhabited by wooly monkeys in Sinchi Chicta.
  • Explore Santa Rosa and learn about clay and natural fiber craftsmanship.
  • Arrive at Sacha Nampi Community Center.
  • Spend the night in safe and secure tents within a typical Kichwa cabana.

Day 2: Sacha Nampi to Santa Teresita

  • Morning hike in Puma Nampi along the Yasuni River.
  • Visit Jatun Cocha Lagoon and enjoy a boxed lunch.
  • Afternoon demonstrations of traditional hunting techniques and medicinal plants in the Native Survival Kichwa Center of the St. Teresita community.
  • Sample ancestral foods.
  • End the day in the St. Teresita Community.

Day 3: Sacha Nampi to Pink River Dolphins in Yaku Warmi and Rio Cocaya

  • Explore the Cocaya River, a part of the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve.
  • Swim with and hand-feed pink and grey river dolphins.
  • Optional visit to Peru with your Passport and return to Ecuador.
  • Boxed lunches are provided.
  • Afternoon trail tour “Los Loros” and traditional fishing.
  • Enjoy a dinner of traditional food called maito.
  • Optional night walk to observe nocturnal wildlife or participate in a shamanistic ceremony.

Day 4: Sacha Nampi to Coca

  • Early breakfast and departure at 5 a.m.
  • Stop at a clay lek frequented by parrots and parakeets.
  • Continue to Panacocha for lunch.
  • Return to Coca to conclude the tour.

Special Note: Activities and times may vary due to river levels and changes within the Quichua communities.

Our policies relating to bookings.

A deposit of 30% is required upon confirmation of reservation. Please verify the amount with your Agent.

The final payment must be completed a maximum of 30 days before the departure day.

Please Note

– FITs are considered 1 to 7 passengers.

– GROUPS are considered from 8 or more passengers.

Cancellation policies

– If a cancellation should occur 31 days (or more) previous to the departure date, No refund

– If a cancellation should occur between 29 and 8 days before the departure date, passengers can reschedule their trip up to one year from the previous departure date, plus a cancellation fee of US$300 per person. No refund will be given.

– If a cancellation should occur between 7-0 days before the departure date, no refund or rescheduling option will be given. The reservation must be paid in full.

– An obligatory release must be signed before guests travel, where the parents will be entirely responsible for their children when visiting.
