A privileged place
L’Estartit is a small town located on the Costa Brava which nowadays has become a popular beach resort
on the north-east of Catalonia, Spain.
It stands out for its different landscapes between the Mediterranean Sea and the Montgrí.
Charming streets, shops, lively port and above all its beautiful sandy beach with the Medes Islands, an outstanding place for diving, makes l’Estartit worth it!
Their shallows waters and sandy beach which stretches over 5 kilometres makes it an ideal environment for families and children.
The long promenade, the new Marina and Santa Anna streets are the main shopping areas where most visitors stroll around.
The river Ter has its mouth to the sea in the southern area of l´Estartit and is separated from the town by an area of protected wetlands with a great diversity of flora and fauna.
The Medes Islands are formed by an archipelago of seven small islands and islets located one mile off the coast of l’Estartit and from part of
the natural park of the Montgrí, Medes Islands and Baix Ter.
It is a meeting place for lovers of diving,
as it is classified as
the best marine reserve in the Western Mediterranean Sea.
Visits can be made to the islands and the coast of Montgrí on glass-bottomed boats. In the port area, there is a wide and varied offer of water sports activities.
