Product Description

Product description

Ready 2 Rumble Boxing - Round 2 will include a variety of uniquely different, animated thugs that will punch their way up the ladder of the Ready 2 Rumble boxing world. The game will also feature two new celebrity boxers: the King of Pop, Michael Jackson and Los Angeles Lakers superstar, Shaquille O'Neal.

Amazon.com

Has the King of Pop become the Prince of Pugilism? As a sequel to 1999's surprise knockout, Ready 2 Rumble Boxing: Round 2 features Michael Jackson, alongside NBA heavyweight Shaquille O'Neal and a mix of new and returning contestants, for some over-the-top fisticuffs. The game combines authentic boxing action with outrageous costumes, special moves, taunts, and rumble flurries, all of which are unique for each character. Throw some quick jabs in the arcade mode or do it Rocky-style via the enhanced championship mode, in which you'll manage your boxer's training regimen and schedule fights. Adding to the realism are photographers, corner men with spit buckets, beautiful ring girls who announce each new round, and Michael Buffer with his famous "Let's get ready to rumble!" call.

Anyone who had a Dreamcast already knows about this one. This wasn't a serious boxing game like Fight Night Round 2 or 3, but its still good clean fun all the same. If you haven't played, I suggest you try it out. I promise you and a few friends will enjoy yourselves.

Except of coarse you can unlock secret players(shaq, M.jackson, Bill and Hilliary Clinton) through winning in arcade mode, the game play is the same as the first one, the championship mode is very differnt, altough I would have prefered that you could be able to defend your title after winning it. a minus is that the credits play after you win in championship and arcade mods, they are extremely long!! this gets cumbersome when your tring to unlock secret players.
Over all it's an ok game, kinda funny and cute, if you have some one to play it with I believ you'll get more satisfaction from it.

Back when the original came out on the Dreamcast(best system ever made) it was great. The graphics at the time where incredible especially for a launch title. Im sure this game helped Sega sell a few system's. I remember they seem to have this game running on every Dreamcast Kiosk. The first game was pretty original and was good little game at the time. This came out about a year later. Although they did improve the graphics a little and the music some they core of the game remain unchanged. This can be a good thing and a bad thing at the same time. Midway knew it had a hit on their hands when the original came out. They didnt want to mess with the original formula much. The core of the game pretty much remained unchanged. They added a few touchups and a few more things here an there and improved the Championship mode as well. However, not enough was done to implement more features other than new boxers overall the game didnt evolve much. In a way you can say its more of a 1.5 than a part 2. You can say they dressed up the original and a few more characters to it. The AI in the game while not bad isnt great after a while you'll get the hang of it. After you played it for a few hours it starts to wear a little thin. However, you will have fun playing it before you arrive at that point. The game is much better if you play with a friend or use it as a party game with a few friends. All in all its a decent game just for the most part its the same as Part 1. Which is good in a way since the original was a good game. However with a few more modes and maybe if the game would of evolved a little more it would of been much better. This is been an arcade type of game like most arcade type of games they usually where thin after a few plays.

This game is tedious and boring. You use the same dumb tricks to beat different characters in lame looking arenas.
Avoid Ready 2 Rumble 2. I love sport games but this just sucked.
Why do I have to give it a star....c'mon Amazon put a minus feature in place for game like this
