About this item

  • MATURE SIZE and CARE GUIDE: The self-fertile Issai Kiwi thrive in full to partial sun, needing 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily. Plant in well-draining, loamy soil with a pH of 5.5-7.0. Ensure good drainage to prevent waterlogged roots. Keep soil consistently moist, but not waterlogged, for healthy root development. These steps lead to flourishing plants, yielding a bountiful harvest of delicious fruit. Expect mature lengths between 4-10 feet. Performs best in USDA Hardiness zones 5-8.
  • SIZE UPON ARRIVAL: You will receive a 3-8 inch baby plant, arriving in a 3-inch-deep pot. Join the ranks of proud gardeners who enjoy the satisfaction of nurturing their own fruit-bearing vines. As the Issai Kiwi is self-fertile, it's not necessary to have a pollinating male.
  • A GIFT THAT KEEPS GIVING: Surprise your loved ones with a gift that will keep on giving. This kiwi vine starter kit is perfect for gardening enthusiasts and fruit lovers alike. It's a unique present that embodies the joy of nurturing life and reaping the rewards of homegrown fruits.

Boost Your Baby Plants' Growth with Our Fertilizer

We offer five Fuel Fertilizers specifically designed for any Wellspring Gardens plant you select. Our formulas include a balanced ratio of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K), the three primary macronutrients that plants need to thrive. But that's not all.

Each Fuel formula also contains essential intermediate nutrients like calcium, magnesium, and sulfur, as well as a host of micronutrients. Together, these elements work to stimulate strong and healthy growth, helping your baby plant reach its full potential.

Moreover, plants also need carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen, which they naturally get from air and water. When combined with optimal sunlight and watering practices, your baby plants are set up for success.

Arrived quickly and as advertised. Small but looks healthy and packaged very well. Can't wait to put it in our Kiwi garden and see how it does this summer and if it wakes up again next spring.

The small seedling arrived with only 3-4 very small leaves. I planted it in a big pot right away and kept it indoor where it’s warm with good sunlight. However, with its small volume of root system and weak condition, it died within a month. Contacted the seller about warranty, they said they only guarantee the plant arrived alive and the seedling might be alive because it’s in the dormant stage, that’s why the leaves fell off. No, it’s dead. This really sucks. Don’t buy, not worth the money.

I bought 2 and put them in the garage with light for the winter. The temperature never dropped below 59* and they were well watered. 1 survived and the other didn't.
