I use mine for making watercolor paint. This is the inexpensive version of Gum Arabic. Just add water. 2.5 ounces from art suppliers will cost 15 dollars us. This one pound of powder will likely make 30 ounces for the same price. That's 12 times cheaper. Add this species of Gum Arabic to your watercolor paint to slow drying time and absorption on inexpensive paper. Some things don't change in 200 years; Gum Arabic is still the most common medium for watercolors.

Bought this as an alternative to Heather’s Tummy Fiber that I have used for years but now seems unavailable thru Amazon. Upon opening noticed very fine powder contents & while carefully pouring a lot became airborne & a mess to clean up. Mixed it in water became very clumpy & turned my 10 oz of water into a liquid that looked like coffee or really bad tea. Also noticed a definite flavor very earthy, after sitting for 30 min. & a brisk stir drank it & noticed a lot of grit. Reminded me of getting my teeth polished…yuck. My cup was a mess also. Never had anything like this with Heather’s. Once & done.. no thanks.
