Product description

The Rockstar tradition of groundbreaking, original gameplay and humorous tongue-in-cheek storytelling invades an entirely new setting: the schoolyard.

As a mischievous schoolboy, you'll stand up to bullies, get picked on by teachers, play pranks, win or lose the girl, and ultimately learn to navigate the obstacles of the worst school around, Bullworth Academy - a corrupt and crumbling prep school with an uptight facade.

The story follows 15-year-old Jimmy Hopkins, a teenager who's been expelled from every school he's ever attended. Left to fend for himself after his mother abandons him at New England boarding school of Bullworth Academy to go on her fifth honeymoon, Jimmy has a whole year at Bullworth ahead of him, working his way up the social ladder of this demented institution of supposed learning, standing up for what he thinks is right and taking on the liars, cheats and snobs who are the most popular members of the student body and faculty. If Jimmy can survive the school year and outsmart his rivals, he could rule the school.

Ready yourself for a hilarious return to campus living with Bully, the outrageously funny game title for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.

Accept missions to earn all-new rewards and achievements; your choices can affect the outcome in positive or negative ways

Retaining the wit and deep gameplay of the previously released PS2 Bully title, Bully: Scholarship Edition takes place in the fictional New England boarding school of Bullworth Academy and tells the story of 15-year-old Jimmy Hopkins as he experiences the highs and lows of adjusting to a new school. Capturing the hilarity and awkwardness of adolescence perfectly, Bully: Scholarship Edition pulls the player into its cinematic and engrossing world set in the most vile and sadistic setting yet in a Rockstar videogame: the schoolyard. Laugh and cringe as you stand up to bullies, get picked on by teachers, play pranks on malicious kids, win or lose the girl, and ultimately learn to navigate the obstacles of the fictitious Bullworth Academy.

Bully: Scholarship Edition comes to the Xbox 360, boasting new content, next generation graphics, and two player mini-games that make this title appealing to previous Bully players and a whole new audience.

New Content
8 new missions, 4 new classes, hilarious new characters, added two-player mode, new unlockables, new rewards and achievements.

Variety
With 82 missions, 45 lessons, loads of mini games and collectibles, Bully provides over 30 hours of entertainment.

Characters
Over 100 voiced characters to socially interact with among several social groups: jocks, nerds, preppies, greasers, teachers, townies, carnies and of course girls.

Choice
You?re in charge. Decide whether you have a positive or negative effect when interacting or accepting missions; you can say hello to fellow classmates or deliver mean wedgies.

  • Use of next gen-graphical techniques including high resolution textures and dynamic lighting & shadow system.
  • Faster frame speed makes the game smoother and more responsive.

My XBOX 360 E thinks it's a DVD and the game thinks my 360 is an XBOX One...

My XBOX 360 E thinks it's a DVD and the game thinks my 360 is an XBOX One...
Received this today excited to play one of my favorite games of all time on something different. I own Bully on PS2 and I've had an excellent time beating it over and over and shooting for 100% completion. I had no compatibility issues or glitches in gameplay on PS2 either.Come to find out this copy of the game won't run on my 360 at all. It has no trouble running the other ~15 games I have, most of them being in dire shape from abuse.I didn't think the XBOX One style packaging (although the actual case itself was a 360 case) would be an issue considering that the disc is just a 360 disc. In fact, I have another game, Skate 3, that is in similar packaging and runs perfectly. For whatever reason my 360 E model can't read the game and thinks it's a DVD no matter what I do. But then when I attempt to play the disc anyway it tells me to put it into an XBOX 360 console. (See images.) This is extremely infuriating and makes absolutely no sense. I don't recommend buying unless you plan on wasting $20. Play on PS2, PC, or Wii (if you can handle the motion controls.)

Some people say that Bully is not simply "A Grand Theft Auto in highschool." Well, I am not saying that either. However, this is a Grand Theft Auto style game aimed towards a slightly younger audience. Whether you like Grand Theft Auto or not, this game is definately fun, and worth every penny.
Overview:
You play as a messed-up teenager,Jimmy Hopkins, who arrives at a school known as Bullworth Academy. During the first day, Jimmy is already taunted and hated by everyone. Rockstar truly uses cliches and stereotypical humor in this highschool environment, adding up to be a funny and enjoyable storyline. Beat up nerds, stand up to jocks, and show the drop outs who is boss in this terrific and outstanding Rockstar game.
Complaints:
Many people believe that this game is "not up to rockstar standards." I would like to remind everyone that this game is basically a Playstation 2 game, in terms of graphics. This was the original platform, and they merely updated it a bit before releasing it for Xbox 360 players to enjoy as well. Graphics should not everything in a game, and for the time period it was originally made in (2006), they are actually pretty good. However, one problem I noticed with this game is the abundance of glitches. There are several annoying glitches that occur periodically within this game. Nothing too bad, just minor annoyances. Here and there are some glitches that really annoy me, like when someone attacks an adult while you are talking to them and you automatically fail a mission. Other than that, the game runs pretty smoothly.
Gameplay:
Rockstar makes up for the lack of graphics in terms of CONTENT. There is so much to do, it takes over 15 hours to beat. I have played this game many times, and even when I try to complete multiple missions a day, I couldn't beat the game in less than ten hours. My recommendation is to take things slowly, perhaps one or two missions a day, to really enjoy the game. This way, you don't simply rush through it, and you have plenty of time to enjoy the little things Rockstar has prepared for you. Here are just a few examples: You can attend classes, which are like minigames and give rewards, visit a carnival and play carny games, socialize with students, complete missions, run errands, complete jobs, beat up clique members, kiss girls, pick lockers, avoid prefects, ride a bike, race go-karts and bicycles, skate, shop for clothes, upgrade combat moves and so much more. To beat the game 100 percent would take a very long time, and is definately worth the 20 dollars you would pay.
Multiplayer:
The multiplayer option is not all that great, but it is pretty fun. Play through classes and minigames that you would in the normal game, but with a friend. It's not the best thing in the world, but it's fun at a party or something.
Differences:
There are some differences between the Scholarship Edition (this game) and the original. Scholarship Edition features 4 new classes (thats twice the amount than the original), 8 new missions, multiplayer options, more rewards and achievements, 4 new characters, and slightly improved graphics. Basically, if you have the original, it wouldn't be worth buying IF the price was still 60 dollars. However, since it is only 20 dollars, and you don't want to bring out your outdated PS2, this game is definately worth buying. I have both this one and the original, and I don't feel like I wasted any money. The color saturation and graphics are much more enjoyable, the missions are fun (but don't expect them to add a whole lot more gameplay, thirty minutes more at the most), the characters have more little phrases, and you can actually keep track of your achievements. Yes, I would say this game is worth buying even if you have the original. You won't regret it.
Overview:
So, all in all, if you are looking for a game rich with content, that will keep you busy for hours, this game is for you. I have beaten this game a few times and still find it fun. Definately a must have for any gamer, serious or recreational. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give this game an 9.1. While it's graphics may not be the best, it's a fun game where content means everything. Truly one of Rockstar's greatest.

This game evokes nostalgia for school days. After that, it is similar to Ocarina of time in childlike feel, rather than the GTA-like experience expected by all aware that the game was produced by Rockstar. Fear not. You've got a good story, an expansive map, interesting side missions, and classes to attend all day to level up stats rather than doing the typical "Menu->Stats->Purchase". If you aren't flexible enough with your native tongue, you just won't advance in your linguistic talents.

The game is at a level where I'll forgive bugs and glitches, which several editions of this game do have. If that is the case, simply restart the machine and pick up again from the last save point. No problem. If you want a game that has challenges but progresses rapidly and leaves much to explore, give this a go. It's become a cult hit recently, which will drive up the price, but it's worth up to the full retail value so long as the disc and packaging are in comparable condition.

Rock star created a masterpiece the day the made this game. The game takes place in a new England town and boarding school. You play as a 15 year old named jimmy Hopkins who at the beginning of the game is dropped off at bull worth academy and soon finds himself embarking on a journey to take over themany factions of the school with another student, as the game progresses the plot has several twists and turns and you will enjoy yourself the whole game through.
the graphics are good, especially considering that this is a sandbox game and a remake of a ps2/Xbox game.Voice acting is excellent, missions are very detailed and unique as is the environment. along with the main missions there are several classes u can attend and unlock tools and perks to help you through the game.there is also multiplayer but it is only local and only 2 players can participate. along with the main missions and classes there are a variety of activities and mini-games.
This game certainly lives up to Rockstar's reputation and is most definitely worth the price.

Very happy I bought this game. The makers thought this game through fairly thorough as they did my last bought game Lollipop Chainsaw. I love their minding of details cause that makes or breaks a game for me. It challenges your mind in school work too. Math & Geography courses are relevant to the courses in reality so you have to actually think about them. You can hook up with several chicks at once: most of them are uncouth. You have to complete many challenges: small, big, & somehow eventually unraveling as illicit. Get even with students + civilians, evade the fuzz, read peers, visit a carnival usually causing you to ditch class & stay at your lake house, go anywhere freely via bike or vespa, etc. To name a mouthful of entertaining components. I recommend this for people who don't mind crude language or rated mature games like me.

I bought Bully: Scholarship Edition about 6 months ago. I was just looking for a cheap game to kill time with and was real skeptical. I am real picky in graphics and was nervous that the graphics would be poor. To my surprise, it was a really good game and was glad that I bought it. I highly recommend it especially if your into Grand Theft Auto but its really its own game with its fun, humor, and lots of interactivity like mini-games (there is some cool ones of different subjects when you go to class), exploration of different groups, and evolution as you progress through grade levels. Even if your not a fan of GTA, it has enough individuality that you might like it.Don't pass this game up. It is a good experience.
