aka Silver Thatch Palm, or Florida Silver Palm: This is a palm native to south Florida as well as several Caribbean islands. It has many of the 'typical' Coccothrinax characteristics- a finely woven trunk, unspilt leaf bases, fan leaves that are nearly circular and deeply divided, a thin trunk about 4"-5" in diameter and is very slow growing (faster than most of the genus, though). It is called a Silver Palm due to the silvery undersides of the leaves. Cold hardiness is about 28F, about the same or better than most Coccothrinax.
