Essential oils are oils extracted from plants. These categories of oils are obtained through distillation or mechanical methods such as cold pressing. Custard Apple Seed Oil is a type of essential oil. This oil can be used as an ecofriendly biopesticide. They are cheap, safe to use also maintains the fertility of the soil. Therefore natural pesticides like custard apple seed oil are given preference over synthetic pesticides. Oil extracted from it can be used as a pesticide against several common pests like the white mealybug, aphid, termite, etc. The oil extracted from custard apple seeds contain acetogenin a group of powerful respiratory inhibiting toxic components, which is responsible to act as a bio-pesticide. Cold pressing, solvent extraction, steam distillation, maceration, percolation, tincture, and infusion are the methods that are used for custard apple seed oil extraction.

In recent year the demand of food has been increased by increasing population. Our basic need is to be consume food from plants. But our plants are not safe because, lots of bugs and insects damage and destroy our plant. Solution on this problem is natural pesticide. Due to increases in the industrialization use of synthetic product has been increased. But they give adverse health effect and also damage our environment. Now, in this situation we need to use natural pesticide and they obtain from natural resources like as waste leaves, cow urine, and various extracted oil from leaves and seeds. In this paper we use method of extraction of oil from custard apple seeds. After extraction of oil purify and separation of solvent with the help of distillation. And finally, we manufacture the pesticide using purified oil with the help of emulsifier as Labolene soap.

The seeds are subjected to a sequence of steps to obtain finally an extracted custard apple seed oil using acetone as solvent. The oil thus obtained is subjected to various analyses and its physical and chemical properties are obtained. This oil is also compared with some other widely used domestic oils. An inquiry is also made to compare petrol obtained from different retail outlets in Visaskhaptnam. Also gasoline is blended with ethanol in different proportions to produce gasohol and the properties of this gasohol are also obtained.

Chemistry of natural product has contributed significantly towards the improvement of modern medicine. Custard apple (Annona squamosa ) is a nutritional rich fruit and is largely valued for its taste. It is known to have some active ingredients which kills lung, colon, breast and pancreatic cancer cells. Therefore, consumption of this fruit is known to have aided in anti-cancer activities. The investigation is carried out to find the chemical composition, phytochemical properties and evaluation of crust, pulp and the seed of custard apple. The chemical characteristics such as pH, titratable acidity, total sugar and lipids are also verified. The results revealed that seed, pulp and crust contain adequate amount of vitamin C, citric acid, carbohydrate, protein etc. The phytochemical analysis revealed that custard apple contains tannins, flavonoids, cardiac glycosides and steroids. Standard GC analysis of seed oils contain certain types of essential oils which are mainly aiding in anti...
Essential oils represent novel alternatives to application of synthetic fungicides to control against seedborne pathogens. This study investigated seven essential oils for in vitro growth inhibition of the main seedborne pathogens of cucurbits. Cymbopogon citratus essential oil completely inhibited mycelial growth of Stagonosporopsis cucurbitacearum and Alternaria alternata at 0.6 and 0.9 mg/mL, respectively. At 1 mg/mL, Lavandula dentata, Lavandula hybrida, Melaleuca alternifolia, Laurus nobilis, and two Origanum majorana essential oils inhibited mycelia growth of A. alternata by 54%, 71%, 68%, 36%, 90%, and 74%, respectively. S. cucurbitacearum mycelia growth was more sensitive to Lavandula essential oils, with inhibition of ~74% at 1 mg/mL. To determine the main compounds in these essential oils that might be responsible for this antifungal activity, they were analyzed by gas chromatography–mass spectrometry (GC-MS). C. citratus essential oil showed cirtal as its main constituent...

Bioinsecticide potential of Curcuma zedoaria rhizome essential oilIn this study the potential bioinseticide of the essential oil (OE) extracted from the rhizomes of the species Curcuma zedoaria (Zingiberaceae) was evaluated. The rhizomes were collected during dormancy (winter) and budding (summer). The EO was obtained by hydrodistillation (2h) and identified by GC/MS. In addition, a multivariate exploratory analysis was done to determine the analysis of the major compounds (PCA). The EO yield in dormancy was 0.61± 0.07 (%) and in budding 0.55 ± 0.08 (%). The bioassays on Aedes aegypti larvae and pupae were done by immersion test at different EO concentrations which ranged from 500.00 to 0.003 mg mL-1 (v/v). The results on the larvae and pupae indicated LC99.9 of (0.01 and 1.38 mg mL-1) for EO in dormancy, and (0.08 and 2.63 mg mL-1) for EO during budding, respectively. The action mechanism of EOs in both periods was determined by autobiographic method evaluating the inhibitory potential on the acetylcholinesterase enzyme, indicating greater inhib...

Proximate Composition of the Apple Seed and Characterization of Its Oil2007 •
Apple seeds, a common byproduct of apple processing, have been examined for their overall proximate composition, fatty acid and amino acid composition of the lipid and protein components, respectively, as well as their key mineral constituents. Proximate analysis indicated that apple seeds are rich in oil content and protein ranging from 27.5 to 28% and 33.8 to 34.5% respectively, comparing favorably with oilseeds. GC analysis indicated high levels of linoleic acid (~49%) with the other dominant fatty acids being oleic, palmitic and stearic acids, ranging from ~39, 7 and 2% respectively. Amino acid analysis indicates that there are substantial amounts of sulfur containing amino acids in the apple seed. The apple seeds also contain significant amounts of phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, calcium and iron, in the order of 720, 650, 510, 210 and 110 mg/100g, respectively. Based on the proximate composition of the apple seeds, if adequate amounts are available as a process byproduct, ap...
