Incredibly beautiful, seldom offered, rare viola. Emerges in early spring with masses of pink-tinged variegated foliage and hundreds of purple flowers. Variegation slowly turns to green and white, then later to uniform dark green and is more intense the second season. Blooms from March-May. In-credible in rock gardens and borders, or potted. Should be offered by every greenhouse! Hardy perennial in zones 4-9. Grows 3-4" tall. Prefers shade or part-shade.
